Avoid Payment Scams: USCIS Does Not Accept Fees By Phone or Email

Immigrants all over the country are being targeted in scams. Don’t be one of the victims! Scammers may call or email you, pretending to be a government official. They will say that there is a problem with an application or additional information is required to continue the immigration process. They will then ask for personal and sensitive details, and demand payment to fix any problems.

USCIS Policy Manual Update: Removing Obsolete Form I-643 from Filing Requirements for Certain Adjustment Applications

USCIS no longer requires refugees applying for adjustment of status under section 209 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to file Form I-643, Health and Human Services Statistical Data for Refugee/Asylee Adjusting Status. USCIS has updated Volume 7, Adjustment of Status, Part L, Refugee Adjustment, Chapter 4, Documentation and Evidence of the USCIS Policy Manual to reflect the removal of this requirement.
