Prevailing Wage and FIFO (First-in, first-out order) 

All wage requests are being processed in less than 60 days. First-in, first-out order (FIFO) is being used.  Requests for H-1B/PERM are processed in FIFO order as there is only one queue. The goal in the end is to process all wage requests continues to be 60 days.

USCIS Announces New Version of Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Form I-90)

 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a new version of  the Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Form I-90), is available on the USCIS website.  The new version of the form is dated 8/10/09 and contains more user-friendly features.

Applicants may file Form I-90 electronically (through e-filing), or through the mail to the USCIS Phoenix Lockbox facility.

USCIS Announces New Versions of Forms I-600 and I-600A

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced that it has published new versions of the Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative, Form I-600 and the Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition, Form I-600A .  The new date on the bottom of both forms is “12/30/09 N.” Due to the changes on the forms, previous versions will no longer be accepted after a 60 day transition period.

Work permits and c9 I-765 application - The center recommends applicants and attorneys to follow the current Pre-Order Instructions which points out that applicants should file the renewed I-485 application with the TSC (Texas Service Center) when the form has been denied and renewed by the IJ. This also holds well when the applicant or attorney submits a new Form I-485 application to the IJ.

Change of Filing Location for Form I-131, Application for Travel Document

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced revised filing instructions and addresses for applicants filing an Application for Travel Document (Form I-131).  The change of filing location is part of an overall effort to transition the intake of some USCIS forms from USCIS local offices and Service Centers to USCIS Lockbox facilities.  By Centralizing form and fee intake to a Lockbox environment, the agency can provide customers with more efficient and effective initial processing of applications and fees.

Office of Foreign Labor Certification Releases ETA Form 9142 - Application for Temporary Employment Certification

To support implementation of the new H-2A regulations and current H-2B regulations, the Office of Foreign Labor Certification is making available the ETA Form 9142 - Application for Temporary Employment Certification in a fillable Adobe Acrobat PDF format to provide users with the option to save and reuse the information on the form for future applications. USCIS Revises Filing Instructions for Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition

 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced an addition to the recently posted filing instructions for the Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, Form I-824.   The revised instructions include a note in the “Where to File” section, to clarify that applicants who are filing Form I-824 concurrently with another form, should mail their applications according to the filing instructions on the other form.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it has posted a revised Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485.  In addition to a revised form, there are new filing locations.  The changes are part of an overall effort to transition the intake of USCIS benefit forms from Service Centers to Lockbox facilities.  Centralizing form and fee intake allows USCIS to provide the public more efficient and effective initial processing of applications and fees.
