On the 90th day, I make an appointment. The earliest day on infopass is 5 days later on Friday, so I make that appointment, and print out the sheet confirmation with the barcode.

I went to the line at 10:00am for my 10:30 appointment. The guy at the door says you can't come in yet, come back 15 minutes later. That means even if you come really early before your appointment it is pointless. It is best to come 15 min before.
I went to the Orlando, FL office to get my interim EAD
I would like to share with you an information that you might be able to add to the 'Interim EAD Issuance Policy' section. Yesterday, I went to the Orlando, FL office to get my interim EAD. They told me that I had to mail in my request to their office. What they want really is for us to sent them, by mail, another I-765 application, write INTERIM on top of it, attach the I-765 and I-485 receipt and sent it to them by mail.

Proposal on H-1B Visa and Green Card Fee Hike
As stated by "Indian Express" :
A proposal that will hit Indian IT companies the most, US software giant Microsoft Corporation has suggested a whopping fee of USD 10,000 (over Rs 5 lakh) for a new category of H-1B visas and USD 15,000 (more than Rs 7.5 lakh) for permanent residency or Green card.
This could raise a huge USD5 billion over a decade, it said.

DOL Issues Prevailing Wage Update for H-2B
The Department, in anticipation of the enactment of H.J.Res 117, which prohibits the Department from expending funds to implement the 2011 H-2B Wage Rule for the duration of that Continuing Resolution, will publish in the Federal Register a Final Rule extending the effective date of the 2011 Wage Rule to March 27, 2013.The Final Rule is posted on the Federal Register's web site September 28, 2012 and it is accessible here.
