I filed the application form for EAD with the help of our lawyer in the Atlanta office on January 8, 2004. Two months later we got the Notice of Action from Missouri office with two dates - Received Date: January 8, 2004 and Notice Date: March 8, 2004, which was a little bit confusing.
My EAD renewal (at VSC) had been pending for more than 110 days, so I decided to go to the CIS office in Bloomington, MN to get an interim EAD.On Jan 22, 04 the temperature was -10F with the windchill of -30F. I arrived at the CIS office at 7.25 AM. The office was already open. Inside, there were already 50 or so people in the line. The security officer gave me a ticket. After waiting in the line for an hour, I finally reached the security gate and went to the waiting room. It was 8.40 AM.
I got my Interim EAD card based on OPT.
I went to the Bloomington USCIS office (MN) around 4:20 am on Jan 7, 2004. As the weather was cold there were not many people. Somebody made a list and I was the fiteenth person.
Around 6 a.m, we made a line based on the list.
The office opened at 6:30 am.
The officer there started work at 7am. She asked me the reason why I was there and gave me a ticket. I got a ticket and went to another office.
Rajiv Khanna and associates are helping me in my Green Card processing. I received an RFE on my I-140; the response was well prepared by Attorney Sheena Gill. I got the approval on my I-140 in a week’s time after response was mailed; I am so excited about it. Rajiv Khanna and Sheena Gill have done an excellent job. I appreciate their expertise and the utmost care they have taken in preparing the response to a tough I-140 RFE. I would recommend the Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna to anyone who is looking for a good immigration lawyer for any immigration related work. I am very grateful and thankful to Rajiv S. Khanna for helping us to get through the various stages of Green Card processing. We also thank all the staff members of Rajiv Khanna, especially Ms. Sheena K. Gill, Mr. Mathew Chacko and Ms. Suman for their professionalism and showing keen interest in preparing documentation for Green Card processing.

Philadelphia district office EAD Interview scheduled 2.5 months after filing the marriage-based I485 package. People visiting for appointments need not wait in the line. The interview process is only taking a photo, leaving the finger print. the EAD card was printed out right away. The whole process took about 20 minutes, excluding waiting time in the waiting room.
I would like to first thank you for all your support and help to the

Here is our ( unpleasant experience ) getting my wife's Interim EAD (we applied Sept 23, 03 ) at San Francisco USCIS.
January 09 2004
8:50 am Got to the USCIS office.
I went at 10.15 am with I-140,I-765 and I-485 receipt, they gave me a token and new I-765 application to be filled up and called me at 2.15 pm. They checked the above documents, Passport and took my photo and gave me EAD instantly. There is no need to take separate photos and go.
Just wanted to share me and my wife's experience in at the Memphis Sub-Office on January 5, 2004. The Memphis office is severely backlogged currently in regards to AOS and EAD applications. We filed the I-765 for my wife on September 10th and hadn't heard anything. After corresponding with our congressional representative, we were told to travel to Memphis (a 350 mile trip) on any Monday to receive an interim EAD. We traveled to Memphis on Sunday to be ready first thing in the morning. Sunday night we decided to check out the office and went to the front door.
I had filed for my EAD renewal 3 months before the expiry date (September 16th). While my EAD was approved a little before 90 days, my wife's EAD was not renewed. They requested additional evidence (marraige certificate and I140 approval notice). After USCIS received the evidence and the USCIS website was updated, we went to Memphis on friday, January 2nd, 2004 (the day of the week when interim EADs are issued in Memphis) hoping that they would issue an interim EAD (since it was more than 90 days after the original receipt notice).
US immigration benefits require that we present proof that the apllicants have been immunized against certain communicable diseases. Exemptions/waivers are available for pregnant women and people who have moral/religious convictions that prohibit getting immunized. The immunization checks are performed as a part of the medical examinations during the green card process.
Folks,
We filed H1B/H4 and Green Card application through Rajiv's Office.
His team: Anna Baker, Richa Narang, Prerna Mehta, and Attorney Mathew were very helpful and diligent. They would answer our queries promptly. Moreover, Rajiv was on conference calls when my company had some questions about filing for Green Card. Our Company had good faith in Rajiv's ability to deal with immigration related matters.
Rajiv's team....Thanks a ton!!
On October 12, 2017, USCIS will change the direct filing addresses for certain petitioners of Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker. The changes are as follows:

It was a pleasure to work with attorney Rajiv Khanna and his dedicated team members, specially Diane. They have helped filing my green card application effectively, cleared all the queries on time, and provided appropriate guidance at every critical moments towards the approval of our immigration visa in the EB1A category (now E11). We filed the I-140 petition from India in Oct. 2016. I was kind of nervous when got the I-140 RFE. However, the excellently drafted RFE response was sufficient to convince the USCIS personnel to get approval of I-140 in Feb. 2017. Consequently we applied for immigration visa to National Visa Center (NVC) through consular processing and finally the immigration visa got approved in Oct. 2017. So it took exactly 1 year from the filing of I-140 to the approval of immigration visa. During this period, I contacted Rajiv, Diane and Suman (another dedicated team member) hundred of times and got the necessary and effective suggestions promptly. They were also available for multiple video calls through Skype for discussing the major issues. I never felt I am outside of US. I'll highly recommend 'Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna' if you are planning to apply for US green card (immigration visa) or even other types of visa, either from US or even from outside, like me. Thank you very much Rajiv Ji and the team :)

I am now in the last stage of Green card and attending interview in Consulate in India for Employment based green card interview.
I have the recent offer letter from my employer. I saw from your 2012 blog you have mentioned that the employment based consular interview is difficult from foreign country consulate with some example.
Has it improved anything better recently. What type of questions can I expect. Also I have recently relocated to another city in India because of which I have resigned my current job and at the same time waiting for this green card. I have not worked with the prospective employer till now but have the offer with recent date. So did not try for any job. I am an experienced person of 15 yrs exp and just out of job for the past 5 months. Will that hurt anything? Do I need to have one on one consultation with attorney better to be safe?

I got a speeding ticket ( It is not related to DUI and no arrest, just a ticket) recently. I didn’t contest the ticket and plead guilty by paying fine of 170$, I have receipt of payment. Do I have to wait for another 5 years from the date I got a ticket (Good moral character period of 5 yrs as per USCIS) to apply for US citizenship to show good moral character?

I am staying here in the US from last 4 years 10 months and have I-140 approved (Received approval Jun '17). To fulfill personal commitments, I am going back to India in Dec '17 for some time however my H1B extension is still in progress (Filed in Aug '17). I am not sure whether the result will be out before my travel.
My question is -
1. If I change the employer in India, is there any way I can come back? What all options I will have?
2. Can my new employer eligible to transfer my H1B from India in case current extension gets approved or RFE or Denial?

1. Yes, I think you can keep that H-1B alive as long as that job is there.
