I applied for EAD on September 17, 2003. After 90 days I did not get the EAD approved from VT. I went to the local office in Arlington on January 8, 2004. They gave me a date to come back for the issuance of an interim EAD which was February 18, 2004. On February 3, 2004 VT approved my EAD without me having to go to local for the interim.
Went around 9:30 am, approximate wait time 45 mins, the lady on the window asked for the notice of action for the actual EAD renewal filed and the new form I-765. Submitted the form, she told the notice will be mailed to you and it might take 30 days to get notice.
MY EAD renewal was applied for and 6 months had passed and after several months worth of unanswered phone calls, I got someone at the switchboard who transferred me to the EAD department.
I was informed that my application was lost and a new one would need to be submitted or no new EAD.
After travelling all morning to Chicago and a fair bit of trying to
convince the door guy, i got in and the whole process took about 3 hours. They worked quickly once I showed up on thier doorstep.
My EAD renewal application was sent to VSC on November 24. Today February 23rd is the 91st day with the application pending. I went to the local office - Atlanta where I currently reside at 7:00AM. After I got into the office, proceeded to the information desk, the officer asked for the receipt and new filled out application form. After two hours, a lady officer called my name, asked what is my basis for EAD. I said it was based on I485 pending and gave her a copy of 485 receipt. After another two hours, I was called into another room and take picture right away.
I filed my EAD in 11/2003 to Vermont and after 80days (stated in my I-765 for proceesing time), I called USCIS and they told me to go to a local INS office for a interim EAD on the 90 days post my I-765 notice date. So, on the 88days, I went to the local USCIS office (Cherry Hill, NJ) with my I-765 notice. After 4 hours waiting, I got my interim EAD (with 6 month expiration date). The USCIS officer took me an photo and finger print.
Was the 90th or 91st day of EAD renewal pendig at the Vermont Service Center.No lines, no waiting, total 25 minutes.
As per online message of USCIS, my EAD renewal card was approved and mailed on 12-31-2003. But I haven't received the card till 1/14/2004. So idecided to go to local Omaha office to get my iEAD as my first EAD is expiring soon.

I got an interim EAD while I am waiting for my EAD to be processed. I filed it online hoping that it will be the same processing. The thing is that if you e-file online, you have to wait for the appoval of your application. In short, it won't do you good if you're in a hurry getting that permit. They give me 90-day interim EAD because I have a pending I-485 application filed in the San Francisco District Office. I will suggest to go to the office instead of mailing or e-filing it.
I had filed for EAD during the last week of Oct'2003 for my wife and myself. After 90 days I called Hartford, CT office for Interim EAD they told me to come after 104 days of Receipt Date because after 90 days period I have to wait 15 more days (they believe web status may not be correct in some cases and one will have to wait for 15 days for Card issue and postal delay)
I went for my iEAD recently at the district office in Jacksonville. It is best to make appointments online as only 20 people are allowed without appointments. Documents required were passport, driver's license, appointment printout, and I765 receipt (either original or copy) Initially I had to talk to an immigration officer at the counter who checked that there was no RFE for the EAD or that it had been mailed. Then I was told to fill out an application again for EAD.
USCIS has published a revised version of Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative, with an edition date of 09/17/18. This revised version removes the geographic requirement for sending an original notice to a U.S. address for attorneys and representatives that had been added to the 05/05/16 and 05/23/18 versions of the form.
I have an H-1B visa stamped from employer A and the employer B has filed my H-1B (Transfer visa) based on the H-1B petition visa from employer A. Now, my H-1B visa filed by employer B is on RFE and my employer A wants to file the GC based on my previously approved i-140 from employer C. Below are my questions: <br>
1. Can I reject the offer from employer B and still continue to work with employer A on current Visa if my H-1B from employer B is approved?<br>

I & my wife are completing 5 years now on US Green Card, but are apprehensive to go ahead and file for our US Citizenship under the current circumstances. We also read that PR's who are using state or federal benefits are more susceptible to denials. I am making close to 200K salary and not dependent on any govt sponsored benefits or funds. But our kid has been diagnosed for Autism and he is receiving services from Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). The State alone is not paying for his services but we are primarily being billed on our private medical insurance for his therapy sessions every week. The school he is attending may be getting some funds for his additional care at school, considering his medical condition. Our questions are: Since we have been using DDD services for genuine medical reasons and I am in the higher salary bracket, would this be an issue for us in getting our Citizenship? Are the denials only for low income groups who are getting benefits from the government? Should we wait for some more time to apply for Citizenship?

USCIS is proposing to revise our Form I-912, Request for Fee Waiver, to remove the receipt of means-tested benefits from the eligibility criteria. A means-tested benefit is a public benefit where eligibility for the benefit, the amount of the benefit, or both, is based on an individual’s income level.
F-1 students who have an H-1B petition that remains pending on Oct. 1, 2018, risk accruing unlawful presence if they continue to work on or after Oct. 1 (unless otherwise authorized to continue employment), as their “cap-gap” work authorization is only valid through Sept. 30.

Got our approvals for EB green cards on July 25, 2008.
Apart from having some trouble in porting my PD to an earlier approved I 140, our case was handled very well. A very big "THANK YOU" to Mathew for all your help and guidance. Summary:
People at Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna are highly professional, very much detail oriented, easy to work with, very prompt and very nice people. They are always available and will stand up for you when required. This will be a very rare combination to find. They always prepare very convincing case and review the case in detail. I always believed that if my case is accepted by Mr. Rajiv, Mr. Mathew and Co, it will be very hard for anyone to reject the case.
Little in detail:
It all started in October 2005. My company asked me to find a lawyer to represent me for my GC process. I have a good friend/family that got GC thru immigration.com (Mr. Rajiv Khanna handled his case. My friend assured me that Mr. Rajiv would go above and beyond to meet client's needs.). He referred us to immigration.com. I sent a mail to immigration.com. Mr. Suman has contacted me. When my HR wanted to talk to a lawyer, he referred us to Mr. Mathew Chacko. Mr. Mathew explained the process in detail. He was very descriptive and communicated everything very well to us. He is always patience even during his busy days such as 2007 July-Aug crazy time when everything became current. I am fortunate enough to get quick e-mail replies every time. When I had thoughts about Consular Processing, he explained to me all about consular processing and why one should opt for it or should not opt for it. His review on my I-485 are very much helpful.
One of the most memorable moments is this: my wife attended an interview in a company and they had hesitation about hiring her without Green Card. They always thought that the company has to sponsor her GC at some point in time and they were not ready for it. I told them it is not the case since she is a derivative applicant in my GC. They were not ready to buy it. They wanted to talk to my lawyer. When I requested Mr. Mathew, he was ready to talk and convince them. I am not sure if all the lawyers would do this kind of stuff. Another important player during my GC process is Ms. Richa Narang. She has done an incredible job of completing my PERM application on time that once I thought would nearly be impossible. Considering that we started our process very late in my 5th year, it is highly remarkable. We completed 6 days before my 5th year expired. She went thru the documents over and over, and helped preparing a very convincing case. I am highly impressed with her patience and prompt replies. She is easy to work with. She always let me know what she was doing for my case and why it is done this way. That gives me an idea about what is really going on with my case.

I have not worked directly with Mr. Rajiv Khanna. But my case manager Ms. Richa was working with him for my PERM. He is a REAL expert in what he does. Mr. Rajiv really built a very strong case for my PERM. His inputs are priceless. I attended his conference call during July/August 2007 when USCIS opened and closed the door briefly. It provided lot of valuable information to me and to lot of immigrants that were eagerly waiting to apply for I-485. It is really a great gesture towards the people that were waiting to apply for I-485 during that time.
