On sep 5th, I arrived at the embassy 06.30am for my interview, but waited till 11am before being interviewed as the cashier was not at her desk for me to make my visa payment.Good morning
good morning sir I replied
do you swear that everything you have written in the forms and you will say this morning is true? I answered yes
what is your name? I answered
you are .... Years old right? ..... Yes
why did you apply for dv lottery in the first place.......... I answered
where were you when you applied.... I answered
Well, interview was short and pleasant like everyone here experienced.
Officer went through the details in application under Oath.
Didn't ask for any docs.
Asked few simple history/civics Q's :
Who Signs bills into law
Where does Congress meet
.......
( every question was from the list of 98 Q's online )
alright... then when it comes to english test, I warn you not to feel insulted when officer asks you read a simple sentence out loud. He/She is doing his/her job. You may feel insulted to read and write such a simple english sentence.
Just wanted to share my and my wife's experience during the interview process. Our appointment was around 10 am in Atlanta DO. There was not much traffic (around 8:45 am going 75 "S" from vinings). Also was a public parking opposite the federal bldg for $4.00 per day.
I had been called for interview on 23rd Aug at Dhaka USA embassy. I am a DV 2012 applicant from Bangladesh and my DS-230, 122 form and pgotograph was received by KCC on 24th July 2012. 9th August I received 2NL and my interview was 23rd Aug.My interview was so far good. I was able to submit all papers/documents that they have asked. After the interview Consular Officer said "you will get visa. your interview is successful. but we need time to complete our official work. This is Normal."
Following is our experience for OCI reissue at Houston:
I finally had my oath ceremony today at Cadman Plaza US District Court, Brooklyn.
I attended the Naturalization Interview today June 10th at the Newark USCIS office. The officer went over application and asked a few questions.
And then, he went on to give the English, History and govt test. he asked me to write a simple sentence and then asked me about 6 questions, all of which were from the 96 questions on the USCIS web site.
After the interview, the officer handed me the N-652 form, which has the following boxes checked:
1. You have passed the tests of English and U.S History and Government.
I had my interview today at 8:20AM. The interviewer called me in around 9:20AM.
He first went through the whole N-400 and asked me every question. It was like orally filling the form out. Then I told him about my traffic tickets. There were two - one in 2002 and the other in 2003. Both were speeding tickets (no DUI or anything like that). I had proof that both tickets were paid and kept the originals. He then asked to see my Selective Services card which I showed him. Then the english and history tests. I got all 10 questions correct.
So I just got back from my interview. I passed!! I know I know but one gets so nervous for no reason, even fully prepared. And it does not help when you see someone coming back from the interview indicating they have not passed (even if others who come out did).
Step 1
I had my Citizenship Interview today at 1450 Coleman Ave Santa Clara CA -95050
Got through the civic & english tests
But the officer gave me a N-14 and N-652 Naturalization/Interview Results forms
Hi to all! I want to tell you my experince. My interview was on 2/2/2006 in Plaza,NY. I was called after 5 hours, but interview lasted for 15 minutes only.. Immigration lady spoke with a heavy accesent, like russian or slovakian and so fast!!? I can hardly understand her! Anyway, I passed the Interview, but to my surprise she asked for more documents, like phone bills, morgage, lights bill, joint account, health insurance since 2002! I was lucky to have most of papers like health insurance, joint account, but who has morgage, phone, light bills since 2002?
