NIW: Porting priority date
Hello,
Let me start with my question: Is it possible to port priority date from an existing employer sponsored EB2 petition to a new EB2 NIW petition ?
I am an Indian citizen with a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Univ. of Maryland College Park. I have a pending EB2 petition (approved I140) through my employer but am also exploring a self petitioned EB2 NIW application in parallel. I would like to understand if the earlier priority date from my employer sponsored petition can be ported to the NIW petition, if approved. Please advise.
Thank You Mathew

EB2-NIW
Hi I was in USA from 2002-2013. I had an approved I-140 with a priority date of 2007. I came back to US in 2021 on H1-B. Can I use the priority date of 2007 to my new EB2-NIW application? I can confirm that the employed did not revoke the earlier I-140 application.

New filing fee for NIW I-140 as self petitionar
Hello Mr. Khanna,
I have seen that starting 01. April 2024, the new fee for I-140 is 715 USD. I am living outside US and would like to apply for NIW I-140 petition myself. What is the total filing fee for NIW I-140 self petitioner now? As an individual, do I have to pay asylum fee also?

Inquiry Regarding Green Card Options and Strategy
I have been working as a software professional in the US for over 12 years and currently hold two approved I-140 petitions—one under the EB2 and another under the EB3 category, with a priority date of June 2016. Additionally, my husband has a family-based Green Card application through his sister, which was filed in 2019. Notably, his parents have recently become US citizens.
I am interested in exploring the following aspects with you:
Green Card Through Employment: Given my background and the approved I-140 petitions, what are the possibilities of progressing towards a Green Card in the employment-based categories? Are there any actions I should consider to expedite this process?
Family-Based Green Card: Would changing or pursuing a new family-based Green Card application through my husband's parents potentially accelerate the timeline for obtaining a Green Card? How does this compare with my current employment-based options?
Other Strategic Options: Are there any other viable immigration strategies or pathways that could lead to a quicker acquisition of a Green Card for me, either independently or in conjunction with my husband's family-based application?
I would greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations on the best course of action to achieve permanent residency in the US at the earliest opportunity.
