USCIS’s Lockbox provides filing tips for Forms N-600, N-600K, and N-336, to help stakeholders ensure that applications are properly accepted at the Lockbox facility.

This Policy Memorandum (PM) temporarily extends the validity of civil surgeon endorsements on Form I-693 for adjustment of status applicants. Comments are due 1/30/12.

USCIS published information on the number of Form N-400s pending between October 2009 and October 2011, including office locations, receipts, approvals, denials, and cases pending by fiscal year, as well as service-wide average cycle times.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will change the filing locations for Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. Effective Jan. 1, 2012, domestic petitioners will mail their stand-alone I-130 applications to either the Chicago Lockbox or the Phoenix Lockbox, depending on where they reside in the United States. The new filing locations will be updated with the corresponding addresses on Jan.

Background

8 CFR 204.6(m)(6) provides that regional centers must continue to meet the requirements of Section 610(a) of the Appropriations Act by continuing to promote economic growth, improved regional productivity, job creation or increased domestic capital investment in the approved geographic area.

On Oct. 19, 2011, a USCIS Update was issued announcing processing improvements for certain naturalization and citizenship forms.  USCIS has centralized intake of Forms N-336, N-600 and N-600K to the Phoenix Lockbox facility. The Dallas Lockbox facility will handle the Form N-300.

On Nov. 1, 2011, USCIS will introduce a new, more user-friendly version of the form used to report results of medical examinations for those seeking certain immigration benefits, Report of a Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, Form I-693. Civil surgeons completing medical examinations between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, 2011, should use the new form dated 10/11/11.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is enhancing the filing process for select forms dealing with naturalization and citizenship (N-Forms). Beginning Oct. 30, 2011, the new process will allow individuals to file N-Forms at a secure Lockbox facility instead of our local offices. This change streamlines the way forms are processed, accelerates the collection and deposit of fees and improves the consistency of our intake process.
