Interim EAD Issuance

I went to Arlington office on Wednesday, October 27th early in the morning around 7am. There were maybe 30 people already waiting in front of the building before me. Normally office opens at 7.30 if I am not mistaken. I was waiting not more than 15 minutes when immigration officer showed up and started asking people if there was anyone having an appointment. He came to me and asked the same question. I said I did not have any appointment and that I came for interim EAD. He told me that everyone has to have an appointment in order get an interim EAD.

I am happy to inform my dependents received their green cards last week. Mine is also approved. We had filed under EB1-OR category. My wife currently working on H4 EAD which is valid till October 2020. Her company filed for H1B this year and she got approval for 3 years starting 10/01/2019.
However, She would like to stay on H4 EAD. Does law permits her to work on H4EAD even after her H1B approved? or naturally her work visa status will convert to H1B effecting 10/01/2019?

Question details

I had to travel to INDIA because of my Father's serious health condition on FMLA. Currently my H1-B amendment is in process, so I am looking for my options to travel back to US. Below are complete details.<br>
I have moved to my current employer in April 2019 and I have approved H1-B for 3years.<br>
Now because I am changing client and location, they have filed amendment and it is currently under process.<br>
I don't have STAMPING with my current employer but I have STAMPING with my previous employer until end of 2019.<br>
During Job change from my previous employer I have applied for H4 and also change of employer. Both got approved and I revoked my H4 application.

I applied EAD & 485 concurrently. I got EAD and 485 approval within 3 months. I sincerely thank to the team who prepared the documents and who worked to get it done. Kudos and Congratulations to Rajiv Khanna and his team. Another I-485 approved.
Thinking back, I first reached your office on 31 Mar, 2001 to start my GC process. The team worked meticulously and by the end of the day, mission to
post the application in USPS office was accomplished.
Special thanks to Suman, who when contacted by a team member, refused to allow my application to leave Khanna’s office till it was meticulously correct in all details.
Special thanks to Charu, who accompanied me from Post Office to Post Office late in the evening and finally found one, which will accept the Envelope
containing the application.
