I have been with Rajiv's team for the last 3 years and successfully obtained green card for me and my wife. I must say that I have never seen a more efficient, accessible, effective and excellent firm anywhere else.
I have to say thanks to Rajiv, Mathew, Suman, Subha and Hellen for the excellent work that they do.
I would very strongly recommend their firm for any immigration related matter. They are not just knowledgeable but do so much good to people by their great website and their forums.
Thanks for everything.

When an I-485 is accepted at the Service Center, requests for FD-258 FBI fingerprint checks, fingerprint fees, and G-325A consular background checks are made by USCIS. Responses to these requests come back to USCIS and must be matched up with the appropriate files held in staging. File Maintenance "file connects" these responses to the corresponding files.
My wife and I had our passports stamped after a 6 hour ordeal that started at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 2:30 p.m. Here are some tips based on what we experienced,
1. For an 8:40 appointment, get there before 8 if at all possible. They were not checking appointment timings, so people with 9/10 a.m. appointments were ahead of us in the line. All they care is that you have an appointment for that day.
If anyone's interested: I had an appointment today for H1B visa revalidation. Overall it was a smooth experience. I was asked for my paystubs though.
Degree etc was not asked for. Total interview time was 2 minutes. The only question I was asked was whether I am working for the same company for which I had received an H1 visa previously. In my case that holds true. I also had an F1 visa previously. US Degree.

My Green Card is approved as of 02/16/2005,I thank all members of Rajiv S Khanna Team specially, Shivane, Heather, Suman and many more they are very professional in their work and I will recommend him for any legal advise regarding GC...thanks
The folks at Mr. Khanna's office did a thoroughly professional job guiding us every step of the way. Prerna, Shivane, Vijay, Diane and everyone else I came in contact with was extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone whole heartedly.
I am also one of the happy clients of Rajiv Khanna. I found all the staff promptly helpful and knowledgeable in every aspect of the process. I felt proud and lucky to have my case filed through Rajiv Khanna when my other colleagues who filed their cases with other lawyers didn’t get the same quality services. I sincerely appreciate all of them, especially Prerna. I wish all the best for them.
I am really impressed with the lawyers at Rajiv Khanna, they do everything meticulously and are very supportive.
I am very pleased by the whole experience of my GC process.

They were consistently supporting during the long process of 3years and 9 months to get our GC.
I wish many more other clients of this company will succeed like us in getting their GC because this talented team help.
Your website has best information available for immigration. Hats of to you and your team for keeping all the information upto date and answering to some of the most complex questions arising from unique situations people pass through in different conditions.
Thanks & keep up the good work.
I got my GC approved (AC 21 case) last week. Mr. Rajiv Khanna and His team represented me through this long process. They were very helpful with their advice, suggestions and timely filings. I would really recommend anyone to use this firm to represent you and you will definitely have peace of mind.
Mr. Khanna successfully represented me in my green card petition for the Outstanding Researcher category. We submitted the I140 on April 24, 2003 and I485 on September 12, 2003, with the Texas Service Center. I received I140 approval on January 11, 2005 and I485 was approved on January 13, 2005. There has been no request for further evidence throughout the whole process.
I am extremely satisfied with the services and grateful to Mr. Khanna for the professional work he has done for me. He was extremely professional and supportive through the whole process. His advice to submit the two applications concurrently has been crucial for me having now the passport stamped with the green card approval.
To me, Mr Khanna was supportive as if I would have been his relative, not his client. I have gone through some scary moments because of the March 2004 memo which I am convinced it significantly slowed down my entire case. I also had one glitch with my current employer, which, at his advice, I was able to overcome. I was worried about not having the I140 approved for so long and almost lost hope that anything good is going to result. Mr. Khanna was very confident in the case he put together for me and for very good reasons. You can trust that if he is going to accept your case he is confident that your application will be approved and he will be there with you for the whole journey.
Finally, I have very good words for Mr. Khanna's staff, especially Ms. Suman Bhasin and Ms. Diane Lombardo. As a client you can call or e-mail his office at any time and you will promptly find his staff at the other end helping you. They will constantly help you put all the bits together and understand the meaning of every step of the process.
For all people out there contemplating on embarking to this journey I can confidently say that you will have in Mr. Khanna the best professional advice and work along with something money cannot buy, your best friend.
Mr. Khanna, THANK YOU!
and, Good luck to everybody.

Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Exchange visitor (J) visas are nonimmigrant visas for individuals approved to participate in exchange visitor programs in the United States.

My sister is in India and the prospective groom is a US citizen. They have concerns about how to proceed with marriage and relocation of the girl to US in a timely manner (prefer not to wait more than a year for marriage/ living together post-marriage for personal reasons) Current fiancé visa processing time seems to be 15 months. It was not this long pre-covid, realistically can this processing time reduce this year? If they do marriage in India first, what’s the quickest way for her to come to US and how long would it take She has a valid B1. Can she travel on that to US post-marriage for 5-6 months only without any risk to her green card application? She is trying to get an L1-B visa through her current company. Will that visa approval be affected if they get married in the meanwhile? In short, what is the quickest path for her marriage & relocation to the US right now?
She can travel with a B-1 visa as long as she tells the truth. L-1 and H-1B visas are the quickest paths.
I got my H1B visa approval recently and I have got my stamping date in May. My company is going through a bad phase financially and has had 2 layoffs (might do another layoff in next few months) I go to India for stamping and get laid off before getting my visa stamped (Can I come back to the US with 60 days left? Can I get my visa stamped if my company pays me for another month or so considering that my last day is a month later? Can I get my visa stamped even if my last day has passed)I go to India for stamping and get laid off after getting my visa stamped (can I come to US and do my job search) If I get laid off while in India but have an offer letter from another company (H1B transfer done/ transfer to be done after returning to US)
This is a pertinent question. I don't think you should go for visa stamping if you have been laid off. If you do go, you should make it clear to the consulate that you have been laid off. However, under the law, you have a 60-day grace period during which you intend to apply for another job. I don't think it's going to work like that. I don't remember the details of the regulation off the top of my head, but I think there might be some restrictions against travel.
An offer letter is not good enough just to get the H-1B approval. Then, I don't think there's a problem with traveling.
Currently working with Employer B since 2020.
Employer A - 140 Approved in 2013. EB2 category.
Employer A - Provided form 485J in Aug and I applied for I485 in Aug. My dates retrogressed to Oct 2011 now.
Employer A - Desi consulting company, we couldn't find a project for me to join them and they withdrew I-140 in Jan. At the time of the I140 withdrawal I485 was at 150 days timeline. Now that 180 days have passed since I485 was filed in Aug, can I provide 485J with my current employer to port the I485 application? Will USCIS approve porting or deny as I140(approved in 2013) was recently withdrawn before I485 reaches the 180 days mark? Is there any way to appeal the withdrawal of I140 as beneficiary with pending AOS or ex-employer can withdraw without any issue? Are there any laws to safeguard the beneficiary when dealing with abusive and mean desi consulting companies?
You should talk to an employment lawyer.

I am writing this in testimony of the very professional service that Rajiv Khanna's firm has provided to us for successfully petitioning for our L1A and L2 visas.
I am very happy to particularly mention and thank Savita Krishnamurthy who has been our counsel and point person.
