EB2 is possible
I have a 4 years Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and I am working in IT Industry for the last 13 years with documented progressive experience. Do I qualify for EB2 or EB3?
EB2 is possible
I have 3 years bachelors in computer science and 2 years masters in computer science in India..My education evaluation says masters..so is it possible to apply in EB-2?
It is possible, but your lawyers must assess which route is best for you: evaluate the two degrees to be equiv. to a Bach. and use Bach + 5 for EB-2 OR just use the Master's degree (risky).
I am currently on H-1 and interviewing with another company. The interview involved air travel within the US and staying at a hotel. Is anything wrong with my prospective employer reimbursing the air travel and hotel costs and also providing reasonable allowance (for covering food) for the days of my stay? Would receiving a cost reimbursement check from the prospective employer invalidate and/or interfere with my current H1 visa status?
Interesting issue. I do not believe there is any law covering this situation, but in my view out of pocket expense reimbursement including food is acceptable and is not a violation of H-1 status.
Received greencard through Eb1-b category in exactly 5 months. Diane did an impressive job in putting together the application packet in a quick and timely manner. Guidance from Rajiv was thorough. Overall, extremely pleased with the customer service of this lawfirm.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna and team. They have been very helpful in my case. A year back I have filed my H1 transfer through this firm and now an extension of stay in US. In both the cases, I am very happy. Specially thanks to Fran who took over my case. I definitely say with strong voice that it would be worth working with Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna. - Praveen

Got our approvals for EB green cards on July 25, 2008.
Apart from having some trouble in porting my PD to an earlier approved I 140, our case was handled very well. A very big "THANK YOU" to Mathew for all your help and guidance. You were great and very prompt in responding to all my queries. Also my thanks to Heather who did a great job in getting all my paper work together and responding to all my questions.
I had a conference call with Attorney Khanna. I was given very specific and precise information which cleared all my doubts and being a friendly person helps to ease and think during conversation if any questions are raised. Truly speaking, its a dialogue rather than monologue which I have seen from others. I am satisfied and strongly recommand his help whoever wants. Good Luck.
I want to thank Mr. Rajiv Khanna and his team for taking care for my L1B visa application during the summer of 2010. By now (dec 2010) this is all history and I have the visa in my passport. At the time, it was quite a stressfull period with much uncertaincy of the outcome. My Khanna and his team kept faith in a good result and steered the application through rough seas, until the final approval by USCIS. Thanks very much for the professionalism. Theo Borst

I had hired the offices of Rajiv Khanna for my GC process. I am happy to inform that I and my wife received our green cards in the mail last evening.
I wanted to thank Amrita,Rita and Bharathi from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work they put in for me during this long process. I specially like to thank Amrita who has patiently talked to me during numerous difficult times during these years. You all are a wonderful team and I am lucky to have had the representation of your firm for my green card process.
Many Many thanks again.
I'd like to thank from the bottom of my heart, Mr. Khanna and his staff Ms. Sheena Gill, for their prompt support and advise and attention to details in my I-140 RFE response and making it possible for me to get through it. I could not imagine how my case would have turned out, without their involvement and timely advise in my case.
Thanks again for all the support and making this happen.
My GC process was a good experience.
I got prompt service and people were caring. Suman Bhasin and team members did a good job answering all my questions throught the GC process. Mr. Rajiv Khanna too made himself available in his busy schedule once over the phone. Thank you everybody at Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna. I appreciate your help!
I would like to thank Rajiv, Mathew, and Suman for their work on my case.
My 485 was denied and I had only 15 days to respond back or else I would have lost my EAD too! I came to know about Rajiv from a friend and emailed him right away, the same evening I got the denial letter. Next morning, Rajiv called me personally and collected all the details from me. At that time, he wasn't even sure if he is going to take the case or not. My 485 was based on family and I had done all the paper work myself. I had my initial interview 2 years back (in 2006) where I was asked to provide my original birth certificate within next 90 days. That was the only thing needed for approving my 485. I had sent my hospital issued birth certificate shortly after that. Since then I never heard back from USCIS. After a few info-pass appointments, I got a denial letter in Feb 2008.
The USCIS procedure mandates to send a letter of "Intend to deny" if the evidence they ask for (birth certificate in my case) is not satisfactory. I never got the intention letter. Instead, I got the denial!
The case was complicated but Rajiv took the time to research how to proceed and finally he suggested we appeal via form 290B (Motion to Reopen/ Reconsider). Mathew and Suman promptly created all necessary paperwork. I managed to get the municipality issued Birth Certificate and we files the Motion to Reopen within 10 days of receiving the denial letter. USCIS took a little over a month and approved my motion.
Now I just have to wait for my 485 to get approved. I was very pleased to find Rajiv and his team. I wish them all the best in the endeavor to help thousands of people with USCIS.
Law offices of Rajiv S. Khanna has provided excellent service in getting my I-140 approved (EB1-OR) within a few months.
I have dealt with other law firms before and I have no hesitation in reserving the highest praise for the supporting staff and attorney Rajiv Khanna. Mr. Khanna has been very straightforward, understanding, committed,
and singularly knowledgeable.
Incredibly, he agreed to a consultation (where he reviewed my eligibility under this
category) even before I had hired his services !
EB1 has its own set of complex requirements for both the
candidate and the employer. I have been very impressed with the way Mr. Khanna could explain these and appeased the doubts/hesitation of my managers. I have found him to be very approachable, generous and always willing to help in just about every issue regarding my immigration and legal status in the US.
My case manager, Diane Lombardo, has been extremely patient, supportive and prompt in responding to my innumerable
queries. She was instrumental in preparing the petition very meticulously . Over the last several months I have
been amazed at her committment and helpfulness.
As I understand, EB1 cases are difficult and I believe Mr. Khanna and Diane Lombardo have used all their experience to handle this I-140 petition in the most professional and satisfactory manner.
Thank you very much to attorney Khanna and his team !
Many thanks to everybody for their patience, perseverance, and professionalism over the last 6 very long years. Sometimes I was about to give up, but this morning when I walked out of the DHS office, it's all been worth it.
Hi Rajiv ji,
I want to thank you and your maginificent team (Specially Prerna, Richa,Sheena, Mathew, Joseph ) for helping me see this day. You were my strong baiston of hope when I was down. You all helped me keep my morale up through this 5 year one month 4 days ordeal. No wonder you all are what you are :->. All of you are so special in your own way. So please accept my deep and sincere gratitude.
You and your team was very sensitive and responsive to my needs. And I appreciate that a lot.
Once again thanks to you all great folks!! Long live immigration.com !!!!
Thanks and Warm Regards,
Neeraj.
I think Law office of Rajiv S Khanna has done a very good job in answering the RFE. After the RFE was answered, I got the approval in 15days.
My pleasant experience in summary and in little detail.
Summary:
People at Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna are highly professional, very much detail oriented, easy to work with, very prompt and very nice people. They are always available and will stand up for you when required. This will be a very rare combination to find. They always prepare very convincing case and review the case in detail. I always believed that if my case is accepted by Mr. Rajiv, Mr. Mathew and Co, it will be very hard for anyone to reject the case.
Little in detail:
It all started in October 2005. My company asked me to find a lawyer to represent me for my GC process. I have a good friend/family that got GC thru immigration.com (Mr. Rajiv Khanna handled his case. My friend assured me that Mr. Rajiv would go above and beyond to meet client's needs.). He referred us to immigration.com. I sent a mail to immigration.com. Mr. Suman has contacted me. When my HR wanted to talk to a lawyer, he referred us to Mr. Mathew Chacko. Mr. Mathew explained the process in detail. He was very descriptive and communicated everything very well to us. He is always patience even during his busy days such as 2007 July-Aug crazy time when everything became current. I am fortunate enough to get quick e-mail replies every time. When I had thoughts about Consular Processing, he explained to me all about consular processing and why one should opt for it or should not opt for it. His review on my I-485 are very much helpful.
One of the most memorable moments is this: my wife attended an interview in a company and they had hesitation about hiring her without Green Card. They always thought that the company has to sponsor her GC at some point in time and they were not ready for it. I told them it is not the case since she is a derivative applicant in my GC. They were not ready to buy it. They wanted to talk to my lawyer. When I requested Mr. Mathew, he was ready to talk and convince them. I am not sure if all the lawyers would do this kind of stuff. Thank you very much Mr. Mathew.
Another important player during my GC process is Ms. Richa Narang. She has done an incredible job of completing my PERM application on time that once I thought would nearly be impossible. Considering that we started our process very late in my 5th year, it is highly remarkable. We completed 6 days before my 5th year expired. She went thru the documents over and over, and helped preparing a very convincing case. I am highly impressed with her patience and prompt replies. She is easy to work with. She always let me know what she was doing for my case and why it is done this way. That gives me an idea about what is really going on with my case.
This is in contast with my previous attorney in my previous company. Thank you Ms. Richa.
I have not worked directly with Mr. Rajiv Khanna. But my case manager Ms. Richa was working with him for my PERM. He is a REAL expert in what he does. Mr. Rajiv really built a very strong case for my PERM. His inputs are priceless. I attended his conference call during July/August 2007 when USCIS opened and closed the door briefly. It provided lot of valuable information to me and to lot of immigrants that were eagerly waiting to apply for I-485. It is really a great gesture towards the people that were waiting to apply for I-485 during that time.
Thank you Mr. Rajiv
Others that helped me are Ms. Mohana, Ms. Prena etc. They are all very nice and easy to work with. They made sure my case was built in a convincing manner.
I will definitely comeback to Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna for my future immigration needs.
I have referred two of my friends to Immigration.Com so far. They all like the service. Please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to answer any questions about my experience.
My wife received her Permanent Resident card today and mine was approved (and received GC card on August 5, 200 on July 28, 2008. I would like to thank Mathew , Prerna and Bharathi for all the timely answers and advices through the process. Mathew and Prerna were always accessible . I always felt that I am getting best service and I would recommend Mr. Khanna’s team to my friends who need help with GC / immigration.
Thank you
Dear Rajiv and Vijay, I would like to thank you and your entire staff for great job plowing through many emails/teleconferences/phone calls and documents. As someone who pays extra attention to detail, it is refreshing to find others working with the same diligence. Without getting into the cobwebs of my case, Mr. Khanna was introduced to a new law that affected my case. Rather than bypassing it, we tackled it head on; it did take additional time for both the lawyers and myself, however the LCA was approved. With such a stressful and time consuming process, Mr. Khanna and his staff, can give their clients not only the knowledge to move forward, but also peace of mind! H1/LCA (now I-140 and I-485)
