The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy’s Board of Directors has reaffirmed its prior decision to suspend NPTE testing for candidates educated in Egypt, India, Pakistan and the Philippines until the NPTE-YRLY can be developed. The Board has directed staff to develop the NPTE-YRLY examination as quickly as possible, but we project that it will still not be available until the latter part of 2011. We have not determined test locations yet.

I am a traditional artist, visited US in 2005 with P3 visa and later I have visited with 10 years B-1/B-2 visa two more times. And on fourth time the immigration officer, deported me from NY airport, saying that you have not paid tax $6000- of my sold paintings in the US. and if you agree to volunteerily withdraw applicatition then we will allow you to come back with right working visa. And the problem is my wife is in US and has applied for asylum, so do you recommend me to reapply for working visa or wait untill my wife gets the green card and I am deported on may 2009.
If you withdrew your application, you were not deported. You could apply for a work visa.

As many of you know, SEVP and its partners at the Department of State (DoS) have been working toward a two-phase deployment of SEVIS II. Phase one, the creation of customer accounts and the migration of school and sponsor records, was planned to start in March of this year, and phase two, full operating capability, was planned to deploy in October. This schedule has changed. For the reasons described below, a final decision on the schedule has not been reached. However, we can say that SEVIS II will not be deployed this year.

Re: Consideration of Former F-1 Students from Tri-Valley University for Enrollment
Number: 1101-02
On January 18, 2011, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) either cancelled or terminated all initial, active and transfer-in student records associated with Tri-Valley University (TVU) in Pleasanton, California.
Students enrolled at TVU and those who entered the United States but have not enrolled at TVU are unable to maintain F-1 status.
Attention Former Tri-Valley University Students
If you were formerly enrolled as an F-1 student at TVU and have been terminated in SEVIS, please note the following.
SEVP terminated the records of all F-1 students enrolled at TVU as of January 18, 2011. You should call SEVP Response Center (SRC) at 703-603-3400. This number will be staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EST), seven days a week. At other times you may leave a telephone number at which SEVP will return your call the next day.
He is very clear and insightful about the whole matter.Selfless and realistic way of approach which is rare...
Q. I am a student graduating in December with my Masters degree. I have an offer from an university. I understand that universities apply for exempt-H1B. I also understand that exempt H1B's cannot be transferred to non-exempt H1B's.
Will I be able to work in the period from April to October 1st with the private company, when my non-exempt H1B is still in process? Will accepting this offer be a problem if i want to move to a private firm later?
