As many of you know, SEVP and its partners at the Department of State (DoS) have been working toward a two-phase deployment of SEVIS II. Phase one, the creation of customer accounts and the migration of school and sponsor records, was planned to start in March of this year, and phase two, full operating capability, was planned to deploy in October. This schedule has changed. For the reasons described below, a final decision on the schedule has not been reached. However, we can say that SEVIS II will not be deployed this year.

WASHINGTON-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) published an expanded list of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) degree programs that qualify eligible graduates on student visas for an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension-an important step forward in the Obama administration's continued commitment to fixing our broken immigration system and expanding access to the nation's pool of talented high skilled graduates in the science and technology fields.

This is an increase in the current visa validity of three months, single entry.
After clearing the NPTE license exam do we need to go for health care worker screening or with EAD we can work?
If you already have an EAD, for instance as a derivative beneficiary, you only need to fulfill the State licensing requirements.

Re: Consideration of Former F-1 Students from Tri-Valley University for Enrollment
Number: 1101-02
On January 18, 2011, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) either cancelled or terminated all initial, active and transfer-in student records associated with Tri-Valley University (TVU) in Pleasanton, California.
Students enrolled at TVU and those who entered the United States but have not enrolled at TVU are unable to maintain F-1 status.
Attention Former Tri-Valley University Students
If you were formerly enrolled as an F-1 student at TVU and have been terminated in SEVIS, please note the following.
SEVP terminated the records of all F-1 students enrolled at TVU as of January 18, 2011. You should call SEVP Response Center (SRC) at 703-603-3400. This number will be staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EST), seven days a week. At other times you may leave a telephone number at which SEVP will return your call the next day.
He is very clear and insightful about the whole matter.Selfless and realistic way of approach which is rare...
Q. I am a student graduating in December with my Masters degree. I have an offer from an university. I understand that universities apply for exempt-H1B. I also understand that exempt H1B's cannot be transferred to non-exempt H1B's.
Will I be able to work in the period from April to October 1st with the private company, when my non-exempt H1B is still in process? Will accepting this offer be a problem if i want to move to a private firm later?
I am a licenced physical therapist in Michigan and working on my OPT. Is it true that PTs and nurses are exempted from the labor certification during green card process? and they do not need to file labor certification?
And considering the current scenario, can you please let me know approximately how much time does it take for a physical therapist to get a green card?
PT's and RN's are both exempt from filing labor cert, but the time for their green card processing is still tied to the time it takes for people from the country of their birth. An India-born PT will wait the same time in EB-3 category as any other India-born EB-3 applicant.
***President Biden has revoked the Trump Visa Ban IN RELATION TO GREEN CARD PROCESSING ONLY. It should be effective today, Feb 24, 2121. It might take a few days for this to be fully implemented, but the consulates will still operate under the COVID precautions needed locally.
***OPT Students. Rajiv has sent a letter based upon the difficulties he has been asked to address in the last two weeks.

A physical therapist, who wishes to apply for an Immigrant Visa (Permanent Resident Status) coming to the United States to perform labor in covered health care occupations (other than as a physician) requires:
In you previous Conference Calls you did mention that you did post videos on USCIS accredited Universities in USA. If a person is doing an MS or MBA in US he/she needs to do it from those accredited universities inorder for the educational evaluation to be done to achieve EB2 Status.Right now I have a 3 years of Bachelors degree from India and do not qualify for EB2 and I am in EB3. I wanted to do an MS or MBA in USA.
