My DCF Experience

Hi All,

Sorry for the slight delay in posting this - things were a bit crazy with me packing and travelling back to the USA...

My DCF experience went GREAT - details follow:

My husband and I arrived in Delhi on April 10th. We stayed with relatives who don't live too far away from the consulate area, so they were able to drop us and pick us up...

Succesfull CP at NWD! THANK YOU!

Hello everyone.
I am back and a PR finally (after 6 years of waiting!!)
Had my CP at NWD on April 18
I stayed at the Park Hotel in Delhi and went to Apollo hospital for my medical. Would recommend both the hotel & Hospital since they are very professional & prompt service.
I had sent my name check via email the night I arrived in NWD

At the interview they only asked three questions to me
Which co. do you work for?
what does you co. do
what do you do for your co?

Am back! Now a permanent resident!

Hi everyone. I am back as a permanent resident. Had a successful interview. The interview was pretty easy, a young american guy asked me a couple questions regarding my work and then told me my file was fine but the fingerpritning machine was down so to please wait. I waited for 30 mins and then was asked to go back on Friday. The lines outside the Mumbai consulate are awful, be prpeared to wait for a long time in the hot sun. Since the fingerprinting system was down the day of my interview I was asked to go back along with all the other immigrant visa applications for that day.

My husband and I went at the end of March on a wednesday with an infopass appointment and were asked to resubmit the form and them given another appointment to comeback after 2 weeks again a wednesday at 9.00am to collect the ead cards. Our cases were already transfered to DC office. The appmnt was on my name but they let us both in given a token and waited for 10 mins or so and then were called to the window. We were done with our ead questions in 5 mins. Both of us were given different tokens so went to different windows.

Transferred case approved at SF office

Our case was initially filed with VSC in March, 2001 (EB2 and future-employment based, the petitioning company is located in NJ and we always work in California)

In Jan, 2004, our case was said to be "transferring" to SF local USCIS office for interview and after many times of phone inquiries and letter/fax sent over to them from my wife and the attorney, an office finally (after 7-8 months of newless waiting) get in touch with the attorney(in NJ) earlier this month and indicated that interview is unnecessary, however, we do need to surrender some docuemnt.
