Green Card Holder With No Reentry Permit

My husband is a UK citizen and has a Green Card, but no re-entry permit. I am a US citizen. We have been living in China for 6 years for my job and plan to return to the States. The last time my husband was in the US was 3.5 years ago. What is the process that he needs to go through to be able to reenter the States and hold onto his Green Card?

Start with contacting the local U.S. Consulate. See if they can issue a returning resident permit 

Applying H-4 Visa for Spouse During H-1 Processing

Question details

My company is processing my H-1B application. Is there any information regarding dependents that will be accompanying H-1B applicant to US at the of filing petition ? What is the process to apply for dependent visa (H-4) for my spouse?

If you are outside USA, only H-1 is processed here. H-4 is done at the consulate when you go apply for H-1

Notice of Public Meeting on FY 2014 U.S. Refugee Admissions Program

USCIS Announcement Regarding Premium Processing for H-1B Cap-Subject Petitions

The filing period for H-1B petitions subject to the fiscal year (FY) 2014 numerical cap begins on April 1, 2013. USCIS anticipates that it may receive more than 65,000 cap-subject H-1B petitions and more than 20,000 petitions filed on behalf of individuals with a U.S. master’s degree or higher between April 1, 2013, and April 5, 2013. This could be the first time since April 2008 that the H-1B cap will require a lottery.
