I have come here with my husband who is on L-1 visa. I have L-2 visa. What work opportunities are there if I have no EAD. Second,I have gone to the office to get SSN. But the lady there told me that I don't require that and they refused to give me.What could be the reason I didn't get that. Can I apply for EAD if I don't have SSN? I'm here in US for 6 months. I want to work as I have done my MBA.
I am working in USA on my H-1B right now and my wife is on H-4B. My H1 is valid until 2013. I am planning to leave my job within next few months. After that, we want to visit entire USA for few months before I go back home. Can I change from H-1B(for myself)+ H-4B(for my wife)or B-2 Visitor for both?
You can and should apply for B2 for both.

I would like to thank the team of Mr. Khanna. He has been of great help. Initially they filed my case for H1B and got approved with no problem and now I am applying through Mr. Khanna and Mr. Mathew for EB2 GC. My case is very complicated so Khanna ji gave two consutations without any charge and spoke about all the details. My employer offered me her attorney but still I have so much of confidence in Mr. Khanna that I am filling through him. I am sure despite my case being so different, he will leave no stones unturned to represent my case in the best manner. I will update as we will progress. Once again Mr. Khanna thanks for being so cooperative and visionary.
I did three year bachelor of computer science degree from India in June 2005.Then I joined master of computer Applications program (M.C.A) in India in Aug 2005 (3 year program). While still being enrolled in masters degree program, I joined a full time job in a software company in Jan 2006. I was awarded master of computer applications(3 year degree)in 2008, until dec 2010 (5 years) I worked with the same company in a full time job. after i moved to us. Now I am working with US based company from 7 months as a full time employee.(total experience 5 years 7 months).Do I qualify for EB-2.
You qualify.
I have a brother here in US who is diagnosed with cancer. I would like my mom and brother who live in India to come and visit him. What type of visa should they apply for in India and how long will it take? On which visa can they come as soon as possible.
Tourist visa seems to be appropriate. Times vary by consulate and are usually very short -- often visa is issued the same day an application is made. You can also get an appointment for emergent reasons.

Telecon Recap: Application Processing Times: A Conversation with USCIS Office of Performance and Quality
Overview
On April 27, 2011, the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman’s Office (Ombudsman’s Office) hosted a public teleconference regarding U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) processing times and interviewed Mr. Joseph Moore, Chief of the USCIS Office of Performance and Quality (OPQ), for this conversation.
Mr. Moore provided a brief overview of the functions of OPQ, as summarized below:
The GC process is unnerving, tedious and complicated. Choosing you as my lawyer gave me peace of mind and confidence that I will be able to file in time - I filed my labor only in mid-July, but was still able to file 140 and 485 concurrently well within time.
Before this blog, I used to ask questions from all my friends to understand the processes. This blog was just great helping me to be so well informed that I started giving suggestions to my friends. The information was accurate and quickly delivered straight by Rajiv, so I knew I could follow it with confidence. I was really amazed by the quick turnaround on almost all questions posted.
Special thanks to my case manager Heather for giving personal attention, being very responsive and working so many late hours to help us out. I want you to know that your work has helped me and my family very much. The past 2 months have been really taxing for you. I feel you really deserve a good vacation after August 17
Continue the great work. Expand your firm and help more people. Many Thanks.
My O petition was approved through your help and when I went for O1 Stamping my visa was not issued due to Chennai consulate in patent misunderstanding of the law that being subject to INA Section 212(e) home residency requirement.
Finally Mr Khanna sent the a brief explanation that "It is long settled law that 212(e) does NOT apply to O-1 visas" and i got the O1 stamping. I am convinced that with the current experience of obtaining the O visa with your guidance, and support of Miss Diane Lombardo and Miss Anna Baker I would definitely be a client for my future needs. I am very pleased with the service and the application was very diligently prepared by your staff with communicating with different parties of my sponsor institution. The staff at the sponsor institution were amazed by the pleasant nature of Miss Diane Lombardo. I was very confident by your mails that my visa will successfully stamped. I whole heartedly thank you Mr. Khanna and your team. I would advise my pears to get the best job done right, is to hire Mr. Khanna. I am eagerly looking forward to working with you in the future. Thanks, Raghava Munivenkatappa
My labor certification just got approved today.We applied for it on June 26th so it took exactly 75 days.I just want to thank Law offices of Rajiv Khanna for their professional services.They have been very efficient and I am looking forward for the rest of the process with them.
I would highly recommend the Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna!!
They are extremely professional, methodical, thorough, and value for money because they get the job done!!
I was on a B1 visa originally and my H1B was approved but I did not receive the document. When I finally did after a year, there was no I-94. I had overstayed in the US and it was a totally mess because of a number of bad advices.
At that stage, I contacted the Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna. I got excellent service considering the fact that everything was done over the phone and via email. It was a pleasure to have had the services of Rajiv S. Khanna, Jitesh Malik, Anna Baker and Rena Waddell.
I thank them sincerely for resolving my issue.

letter also stated the date when FBI received request from USCIS; knowing of this date was helpful; I was using this date in my
11:15 Went through security then directed to the appropriate waiting room;
There were other couples, and I must say the office really looked busy as there were many IO’s. Well I assumed they were at the rate in which families being interviewed were going in and out.
Our chance came eventually and we were called in by a fine lady, whose first thing was to swear us in. She appeared like she wanted to laugh through some of the proceedings although she kept a serious look.
Some of the questions asked;
We are back from San Antonio and I was APPROVED!!!!
I cannot thank enough the Law Offices of Mr. Khanna for getting me and my wife our L1-A and L2 approvals. A special thank you to Mr. Jagbir, who assisted us, guided us and was there for us the entire time. He was very patient, helpful and informative, and Mr. Khanna was always available to answer my never ending questions. I can confidently say that it is because of their hard work and dedication to this case that we got our approval. We had a very complicated case whereby our LI-A had already expired, and the extension was denied. Mr. Jagbir presented our case with updated information and new evidence, and after he responded to the RFE with a 700 page file, our case was approved. Thank you so very much Mr. Khanna, Mr. Jagbir and Ms. Anna, we will forever be indebted to you.
