I and my family received our GC stamping on June 25th,2001. I started the whole process in Oct 1998 with Rajiv Khanna as my attorney. He is a lawyer of great standing and has helped me at every point in the whole process. I must mention here that the paperwork done under his guidance has been perfect and I had no RFE's except at the last stage for an employment letter. This substantially reduces the total time of this lengthy process. I am specifically mentioning this because I have seen some of my friends stuck for years in the process because of careless paperwork. Also I had some problem regarding the evaluation of my education and Rajiv's correct strategy helped me and I could come out of the problem. I found the staff in his office in general and with a special mention of Suman Bhasin, Laila Lehman, Shivani Sharma and Diane Lombardo, very co-operative. Thanks to Rajiv and his staff.
My Question is after getting green card and leaving consulting employer after 14 months, when person applies for US Citizenship (8 years after getting green card) can USCIS ( knowing that sponsoring company was consulting) asks for client letter, contracts ( like H-1B documentation ) for the period when employee was working with GC employer( after GC approved) ?

I am currently on F1 visa and working on CPT. My H1 petition was picked in the lottery this year and status changed to RFE 2 weeks ago. I wanted to know if August 9 unlawful presence rule applies in my case i.e; if I get a response for RFE after Feb 4 2019, that completes 180 days.

In Summary,
* I worked for the same Company from 2004 to 2014 (2004 - 2011 in US on H1B, and 2011-2014 in India)
* BUT, after Green card, I did not work for the Company in US.
* I don't have even a single paycheck from US Company after receiving GC.
* Since then, I have been working in a job with same job description that my GC was filed for.
* All other history is clean. I have two US born children, Always paid taxes on time, no legal cases.
I heard from reliable sources that under current circumstances, my case will be marked as fraud and there is a 99% chance that they will revoke my GC and deport me, as I didn't stay with the employer that sponsored my GC.
Questions
* Should I be really concerned?
* What are my options?
* I have the option of going back to the same employer now. Does that help?
* If my wife applies for Naturalization instead of me, is that going to be any different?

I would like to thank Rajiv and Amrita for excellent work with filing for my green card. They are a great team of professionals, were always ready to answer my questions and clarify any concerns. My employment based green card process went very smooth and quick. It just took about a year and a half from process initiation to green card in hand.
Can't thank you enough!
Highly recommend this team for your immigration needs.

USCIS has updated the Adjudicator’s Field Manual (AFM) (PDF, 224 KB) to emphasize that, under current regulations, the periods of initial authorized stay are different for individual athletes (P-1A) and their essential support personnel (P-1S).
USCIS recently updated the following form(s):
1. I am currently in H1-B more than 10 years in the USA and I have approved I-140 priority date Mar 2011 - EB2. My current employment is getting over in 3 weeks. And my current H1-B and I-94 expires in mid-August 2019. My question is if I am not able to find another job within my H1-B and I-94 expires on Mid August 2019. What are the options available for me to legally stay in the USA after my H1-B and I-94 expires? I have own house. Is there an exceptional case we can file GC EAD?
2. Without a job how many days i can stay in USA before my I-94 expires using I-140?

Finally my wife and I, received our GC. This journey lasting over 12 years. It has been a long journey to GC approval. I would take this opportunity to thank Mr. Rajiv Khanna and his entire team. Special thanks to Mr. Rajiv Khanna, for all his help and guiding me at each step of this journey, including multiple H1B renewals and EAD renewals. There is no words to express my gratitude and once again thank you. He is very informative and detailed in the documentation for each filings (H1B,GC). All along this process working with Prerna on regular basis - very helpful, always responsive and quickly returned my emails and had my calls scheduled with Mr. Rajiv Khanna whenever required - and Mr. Khanna always listened to my concerns, no matter how amateurish or complicated they sounded. His feedback and opinions were honest and very helpful in the constantly changing immigration rules and policies. I have been working with Mr. Rajiv Khanna and his team since 2007. It's a pleasure working with each and every member of Rajiv's team in this journey. I would like to thank Prerna, Bharthi and Amrita with whom i worked in the GC process. Once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart and my appreciation to everyone else who worked on my case.
I would highly recommend "Law Office of Rajiv S. Khanna" to anyone who needs help with immigration related issues.
