Recently I have been to Baltimore District Office to collect my interim EAD, I was told that if INS Processing Center(Vermont) requested some additional documentation, that requested documentation should be sent to Vermont(that information should be updated in INS database), then only they can issue interim EAD. They are taking 30 days to issue Interim EAD.
EAD experience at Detroit USCIS office
I walked in to the Detroit USCIS Center on Monday Sept 9th 2003 at 11:30pm. They gave me the waiting number & gave me an application form for Employment Authorization. At around 3:00 pm the duty officer wanted receipt notices (over 90-day proof), the original I-765 application, I-94 & driving licence (proof of picture ID). She asked me to get photo copies of each of these documents, which I got it immediately for her. After an hour someone called my name and took my picture and provided the card good for 6 months.
Interim EAD Issuance at Newark & Cherry Hill, NJ
was there early in the morning 6am, entered line in orchard st taken inside at 8.00am, to 2nd floor office
- iEAD applications must have a duplicate application prepared with documents. they check before you get in
- make sure you have an address in NJ, they ask proof of residence in NJ to issue your documents, bring DL, utility bill etc to prove that.
- got the card the same day for 8 months,
- they lost our documents, then found them in the 3'rd office where your pictures will be taken

N-400 Interview Experience
Yesterday myself and my wife oath was completed. I had my interview on 18 Sept @ 2:30 but I didn't received the oath letter since it was too late. My wife got a call from Atlanta USCIS this Monday and was called for the oath ceremony on Wednesday. My wife requested them to have oath with me. USCIA call us again on Wednesday morning and scheduled oath for both of us on Thursday @ 1:30 PM. I never received the oath letter in mail.

Update on H-1B Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Cap Season
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reached the statutory H-1B cap of 65,000 for fiscal year (FY) 2014 within the first week of the filing period, which ended on April 5, 2013. USCIS also received more than 20,000 H-1B petitions filed on behalf of persons exempt from the cap under the advanced degree exemption.

My I-140 was filed in February 2004. The National Visa Centre, in its letter dated 24th June 2010, informed that they had completed processing of my petition seeking immigration to the USA and had forwarded it to the American Embassy/Consulate at New Delhi. I was informed that an immigrant visa interview had been scheduled at the US Consulate, New Delhi on the 9th of August, 2010 at 10.45 am.

Statement by the President on Commonsense Immigration Reform
This afternoon, Senators Schumer and McCain briefed me on the bipartisan immigration reform bill that they have drafted with their colleagues in the Senate. This bill is clearly a compromise, and no one will get everything they wanted, including me. But it is largely consistent with the principles that I have repeatedly laid out for comprehensive reform. This bill would continue to strengthen security at our borders and hold employers more accountable if they knowingly hire undocumented workers.
