I actually had very easy time getting interim ead. I went on wednesday but was asked to come back on Tuesday thats when the IEAD is issued in the Columbus Office. Went there on tuesday which is july 20th at about 8 am. Walked directly to the office gave my papers waited for 1 hour. They called me in and gave my interim ead valid for 8 months

"Went to the local Houston USCIS office by 4:50 am on friday Jul 11, 2003 and found myself behind 100 people (folks camping out...looked like a slumber party. They sure let us in by 6:15am and got a number (186) & processed by around 12:45pm.

My prossessing of the EAD took more than the 90 days (Big Surprise) so I booked an appointment through Infopass for 7:30 this morning. I arrived at 7:15 and walked right in. My daughter and I applied for our second EAD (family based applications), we received a Notice of Action to go and have our Biometrics done. We made an appointment and had it done. My daughter received her EAD one week and a day later. I never received mine. I call the CIS service center on many occasions for anwsers, they told me after ninty days I could make an appointment and get an Interim EAD. I made a infopass to Orlando,Fl.

I am 19 years old and I have been living in this country for 14 years. Due to my status I am struggling in college. I cannot pay my tuition and I am forced to work full time. I have a 3.8 GPA but no scholarship or loans to show for it. My goal is to become a doctor. I volunteer countless hours at hospitals because I enjoy helping people and I love being around doctors. Although many students get paid to work in laboratories and conduct research, I do it for free because I am not a permanent resident or a citizen.

i think my experience might help others so i m writing it down.

my husband and i came to toronto canada on sep, 6th 2005 (yes 2 days ago).

my husband came to US from pakistan in 1999 on a student visa. He did his masters and then got a job in Houston. He is a mechanical enigineer.
