Both me and my wife filed for our I-485 processing through LORK in July 2007. My file got through and I received my EAD,I-485 receipts and AP. But my wife's file got lost in USCIS and we did not got any receipts. Roopa and Matthew put in great efforts to get her application through. We really appreciate the work done by entire Rajiv's team.

I would like to give special thanks to Mathew Chacko,Rita Dhakal,Pramitha , Suman B for thier prompt service & quick responses during the process.The GC was filed in May 2003 & from then till April 2008 ( when my 485 got approved, wife is yet to be aproved )I have been in close touch with RK's office & I really should say that how every busy these guys are, they have always got back to me for any questions,doubts that I had from time to time.
I have heard stories from other colleagues , friends about some law offices & how they handle the client GC cases.I would highly recommend RK's office & his team to anyone who wants to file his GC thru employment. You are guys are no -1 in every way.

It took me all togather, 119 days from application file date to an Oath Ceremony. I am proud to be the USC now. I had to wait about 40 days between interview and Oath ceremony date because my GC was not complete 5 years at the time of Interview. Otherwise my Oath would be on April 26, which would make my Naturalization process complete within 100 days. It's FAST.....!!!

Became A Citizen yesterday
I am happy to share the good news with all of you that my wife and I became citizen's yesterday. The process was very easy. We had interview appointments at 10:05 am and were called in before 10:15. The interview lasted 5 mins and the officer did not look at any documents I took. I spent last two weeks trying to collect all kinds of documents mentioned on another thread. Anyway here is my timeline:

I had my interview at the Dallas DO today May 14th. It went very well. I was very nervous about my extensive travel over the past 5 years. I had some 800 odd days of travel that included trips to a lot of countries in the world. But none of my trips was over 6 months, the maximum trip length was 110 days. I was working for a US company as a contractor and did have a letter from the company for the reason for the numerous visits.

Change in Job Titles/Duties During Green Card Process
Question details
I have I-140 approved with title business systems analyst. Promoted to director in the same job profile , H-1B amended to reflect the title but no new PERM filed as was explained by my lawyer that it is OK to have some career progression and more than 50% of job duties are same as old job. Now we are going to go through another re-org and probably I may not have the same title but senior business systems analyst . What are the steps<br>
1. Do we need to file new perm or wait for the new law and apply H-1B reflecting the new title<br>
2. Apply for EAD on the basis of existing I-140 approved as business systems analyst.<br>

J-1 Physician in Waiver Job Applying for AOS/1-485

I am a physician completing my J-1 waiver ( on H-1B now in US, waiver will finish by June 2015). My wife became a U.S. citizen few months ago and she has filed I-130 for me. If I-130 is approved, do I have to wait till June 2015 to apply for adjustment of status or can I apply sooner ? If I have to wait till June to apply for I-485, will I be able to get EAD right away or will I need to be on H-1 for a while I-485 is accepted ?

Error by USCIS Giving Time Beyond 6 Years on H-1
Question details
Error in last H-1B extension- now I-140 approved and I have been working on H-1B since 2005. In between, I changed to -F1 and also spent time outside USA. Cumulatively, I would have completed six years of working on H-1B by March 30 2015, after excluding stays in USA on non-H-1B status and stays out of USA.I changed my job in Feb 2014 and have been working with this employer since then. At the time of change, the current employer filed for a H-1B petition and requested an extension for three years – from Jan-2014 until Jan 2017, even though, if I added up all the time of work on H-1B visa in USA, I would have completed six years by March 30 2015.
My I-140 has been approved this month. Now I do not know whether my employer should file for an extension of H-1B (assuming that without the I-140 approval, I was allowed to work until I completed six years of H-1B in USA) or not file for H-1B extension, because, the last extension is valid until Jan 2017.

What happens is sometimes, USCIS by mistake gives you more time than you are entitled soon for your H-1. Let's say your 6 years is getting over in one year and they give you 2 or 3 years by mistake.
Can you use that time?

My wife & kids H4 was not renewed and were Out of Status due to company's fault and my ignorance and trust on the company. This happened in 2003. We hired a local lawyer, best in town, to handle my case in 2005, when I found out on my own that my dependant's H4 was not renewed. We applied at USCIS, but was rejected. We appealed in the Court, but was denied.
I contacted Rajiv Khanna and we applied in 2008, after more than 4 years in Out of Status. My H1 was renewed, along with H4 in 2 days!!!!! Can you believe it?
After 4 years of Mental tension and all the agony, we passed through, we felt so relieved.
We got our new I-94s attached for my wife and 2 kids. Great People, Nice Dedicated Staff, Intelligent Lawyers.
I would recommend him to anyone, no matter how big or small the case is, Do NOT look any further. I did all my research for all these years looking for good lawyer, don't spend any more time searching. If you are in trouble, take my advice, talk to him and he can definitely help you. I was told by other lawyers that there was no chance that I would be able to get them back on status. but Miracle happens and it happened to me. Lots of smart work at Rajiv's end.
