Applying for Green Card while Holding H-4 Status; Applying for Green Card and Permanent Residence for Another Country Simultaneously

I was on H-4 visa from Feb 2014 till Dec 2015. I was on H-1 visa from Dec 2015 to April 2017. In April my H-1B transfer got denied. Hence I applied for change of status from here (April 15 2017) and now my H-4 application is under process. In Dec 2016 (while I was on H-1B visa), I had applied for GC in EB2 category with my employer. My employer told me that my labor has been approved.<br>
1: Is there a website where we can check the status of labor if it has been approved?<br>
2: When can I file for I-140? Is it true that it has to be filed within 180 days of labor approval?<br>
3: Can my GC application continue whilst being on H-4 visa? <br>
4. Does the GC process, at any stage, require the applicant to be on H-1 visa?<br>
5: I am planning to start Canada PR procedure. Will my GC application interfere with Canada PR at any point?

I got my physical Green Card today. It has been a long 4-5 years and I must say that it could have NOT been possible without the constant support, guidance, diligent and patient hard work put in by Mr. Rajiv S Khanna and his stellar team of Mathew Chacko, Prerna Mehta, Richa Narang and others who I have interacted with in the past and are probably no longer with the law firm. This team was always a step ahead, instantaneous in answering ANY questions whatsoever. I have even spoken to Mr Rajiv himself at one occasion since I was really concerned about some issues and even though being extremely busy was very nice in giving me a phone appointment the very next day. He, along with his team were very courteous, non judgemental and above all very humble in their approach and conversation. My GC approved last week. My previous GC application filed by different attorney got rejected in 2005, and then I've contacted Rajiv for guidance in our case. On Rajiv's advise we started the new GC process. Labor approved in 7 days and I-140 in 21 days. All this because of Rajiv and his team’s exceptional service, dedication and knowledge. Big thanks to Rajiv Khanna!! Rajiv is a nice person and his advice through phone calls and emails helped us in resolving the issues. I would like to specially thank Matthew, Amrita, Bharathi, and Prerna for helping me to resolve issue and prompt in responding to emails. EB2 or EB3
Question details
I have 7 years of experience with 3year bachelors degree + 2year masters degree from India.Job for which my GC is being filed is Bachelors degree+6yr experience. As per knowledge from different online sources 3year bach. degree+2year masters degree+5years progressive,post-masters exp.- Is considered as EB-2 Professionals with Advanced Degrees.My lawyer is saying since my bachelors(India)is a 3yr program & US bachelors degree is a 4yr program so my case falls under EB3 & not EB2. She also specified that under EB2 category the educational degree must be from a "single source" & not from combination of degrees.
Generally speaking, if BS and MS are in the same or similar fields, you should be able to combine them to arrive at a 4-year degree for EB2 purposes. You should have a shot at EB2.

I came to the United States by an H1B visa. The H1 visa was filed through my company's attorney which later I asked them to apply for my green card as well. Unfortunately, the attorney made several mistakes and I cancelled my contract with them. After some research and asking from friends and colleagues, I decided to go with the Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna whose web site, immigration.com is well known. Obviously the cost was higher than our company's attorney but I used to hear lots of sad stories about how some unexperienced attornies lost the customer's hope, time, and money. So, I think it was really worth it because last week I received my green card after less than 3 years. This is a very good record for EB2 category. Another Iranian friend of mine took about 7 years to get his GC! Heather Riddick, Art Shifflett, Mathew Chacko, and Rajiv Khanna worked on my cases during this time and I am extremely satisfied by their experience, knowledge, care, and accuracy. EB-2 with three years bachelor's degree

I have 3 yr Bachelor's degree (BSc) + 3 yr Bacheolor's degree in technology(BTech) from India and 8 years of experience. Do I qualify to apply for Green Card under EB2 category if the position requiers MS or BS+5 yr experience.
Usually, you are NOT permitted to put together two 3-year bach. degrees. So, it appears unlikely you will qualify for EB-2.

Hi all, Finally I have got my GC approved. Just yesterday I recieved my card in mail. I am so happy and relieved because it has come in just the right time.
