Got there at 6am and there were already about 80 people ahead of us.
At 6:15 they started handing out tickets. At 7:30 we had ours.
Went inside to sit down and at 7:45 our number came up. Handed over copies of the I-765 and I-485 receipt notices (it speeds up things if they do not have to make the copies) and newly filled out I-765s (they want them).

Short: I found Mr. Rajiv Khanna to be a very competent and knowledgeable attorney, his firm has great processes, which I think increased the chances of success for my application. I recommended Mr. Rajiv Khanna and his firm highly. Detailed: I work in a law firm (not immigration law), and am very impressed with Mr. Rajiv's practice, the level of personal attention he provides, the efficiency with which my application was prepared, the promptness of his staff, transparency and fairness about costs involved, the amount of information on his website, and his forthcoming nature in understanding the case, explaining the options and providing recommendations.

Mine was an individual case - for L1 visa application, which was approved without a hitch. Unlike blanket L visa cases for big companies, every individual case has several small 'unique situations' that need due care while being described. I found that the law firm of Mr. Khanna is very well geared up to handle such cases. At the point my application was submitted, I was already confident that it was in good shape, and had captured all the information that needed to be there. Thanks to Mr. Khanna and his staff, I had all reasons to expect a successful outcome. I have used other immigration attorney's services, and not that I was unsuccessful with them or disliked them, but there is a difference in the way Mr. Rajiv Khanna's firm handles their matters, which, in my view, makes a big difference both to the quality of the applications, and very likely the outcome.

I just got my H-1B renewed for a 7th Year through the Law offices of Rajiv S. Khanna. Rajiv, with whom, I had been corresponding on various issues pertaining to my greencard, H-1B, etc., is always accessible and extremely helpful. He is extremely prompt in responding to the email--usually in a few hours and sometimes almost instantaneous. His promptness had always helped to ease the anxiety levels. I would be glad to recommend Rajiv S. Khanna's law office to anyone, without any hesitation. I have successfully got approval of new H1B visa (premium processing) in a week and services provided by Rena Waddell is excellent, quick and very professional. My H1B visa application was recently approved and the entire process with the Rajiv Khanna's Law firm was a pleasant and no-stress experience. The team was very professional and I really appreciate the prompt, friendly, to-the point approach of Ms Rena Waddell. The Law Offices Of Rajiv Khanna was very efficient in processing my H1-B application, especially Rena Waddell my case manager was prompt and handled my case carefully, she always kept me updated on my case. USCIS Simplifies the Immigrant Fee Payment Process

USCIS has simplified the process for paying the USCIS Immigrant Fee online in our electronic immigration system. The revised payment process reduces the amount of information an immigrant must provide to USCIS. Additionally, in response to customer feedback, anyone can now pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee for an immigrant. For example, a family member, friend, employer, attorney, or accredited representative can pay the fee as long as they have the immigrant’s Alien Registration Number (A-Number) and DOS Case ID.

Boston MA - Naturalization Interview Experience

Had my Naturalization Interview this morning and all went well, I was issued an N-652 indicating that my application has been recommended for approval. After weeks of stressing over this it took about 20 minutes from start to finish, the I/O was a very nice Gentleman, I probably thanked him a little too much at the end but I was very happy and proud.

USCIS, in coordination with Department of State (DOS), is revising the procedures for determining visa availability for applicants waiting to file for employment-based or family-sponsored preference adjustment of status. The revised process will better align with procedures DOS uses for foreign nationals who seek to become U.S. permanent residents by applying for immigrant visas at U.S. consulates and embassies abroad.

Naturalization interview without the Country of Citizenship passport

So I had my interview on Sept 3rd and I went in without the Original Country of Citizenship Passport however as my previous posts state that I had made color copies of each page in my Passport book. Furthermore, I got each page notarized by a Notary Public and obtained a letter from Swiss Embassy that my original Passport (number xxxxx) is with them with effect from data xxxx for Schengen visa processing etc.

DOL Alerts on PERM Data entry Problems

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015, the Department implemented software updates to the Permanent Labor Certification Case Management System (CMS). An unexpected programming glitch occurred which impacted a small number of applications and resulted in the prohibition of certain information being entered onto the ETA Form 9089. The Department is working to correct this issue.

Until the revisions become operational, an employer who cannot complete and file an ETA Form 9089 online should mail in their application to the Atlanta National Processing Center at the following address:
