Great Firm, excellent service. Ursula E., was very dilligent, sincere, provided excellent customer service. The firm is fortunate to have paralegals of such great calibre.
I went to Arlington office on Wednesday, October 27th early in the morning around 7am. There were maybe 30 people already waiting in front of the building before me. Normally office opens at 7.30 if I am not mistaken. I was waiting not more than 15 minutes when immigration officer showed up and started asking people if there was anyone having an appointment. He came to me and asked the same question. I said I did not have any appointment and that I came for interim EAD. He told me that everyone has to have an appointment in order get an interim EAD.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LEGAL SERVICES!!!It's with heartfelt appreciation and gratitude that I want to express my Thanks to the Staff of Law Offices of Rajiv S. Khanna, especially to Ms. Charu Bhagat, Ms. Reena Wadel and Ms. Sirisha Durgam for the patience with which they worked my very complicated case. I was basically in an out-of-status mode in the US for a long time with my past employment and it was a big question as to whether I would get my Visa transfer approved. Thanks to the ABSOLUTELY METICULOUS preparation of documents and the constant communication between INS and Rajiv S. Khanna's Office that amde it happen. The only thing that I would STRONGLY reccomend anyone that has the privilege of getting help from Rajiv S. Khanna's Office is...1. Be Patient and WORK (really, without question) with the lawyers who are handling your case.2. PROVIDE every bit of documentation asked for and be very PROMPT with it.3. Respect their effort in helping you and do not be impatient.Ms. Sirisha, Ms. Charu and Ms. Reena were three of the most friendly and helpful persons. Thank you so much!!Aravinth Kaliappan
It was a very pleasant experience working with the Law Offices. I would like to make a special reference to the person I worked with who kept me informed on each step during the process removing any anxiety - I did get prompt responses on all queries and she returned every call, that was amazing. I look forward to working with this team again when I apply for my Green Card.Thank and appreciate all your efforts.
Rajiv Khanna and the people at his office did a very good job in processing my Green card. All of the people(Leila Lehman, Shivane Sharma, and others), I used to contact were very knowledgable. It has been a nice experience! Thanks and keep up your good work!
I applied EAD & 485 concurrently. I got EAD and 485 approval within 3 months. I sincerely thank to the team who prepared the documents and who worked to get it done. The response time to any email/voice mail was extremely good. You are very good in explaining things and clarifying any doubts. I sincerely thank you all who worked for me.
Thanks
Dear Prerna,
Kudos and Congratulations to Rajiv Khanna and his team. Another I-485 approved.
Thinking back, I first reached your office on 31 Mar, 2001 to start my GC process. The team worked meticulously and by the end of the day, mission to
post the application in USPS office was accomplished.
Special thanks to Suman, who when contacted by a team member, refused to allow my application to leave Khanna’s office till it was meticulously correct in all details.
Special thanks to Charu, who accompanied me from Post Office to Post Office late in the evening and finally found one, which will accept the Envelope
containing the application.
Special thanks to Chacko and Shivani who kept me informed of the development when they were handling the case.
And of course, Special thanks to Prerna who so painstakingly, prepared the I-485 (and Travel Document, year after year) and was always so happy to inform me about the developments in the case.
And finally, please convey my thanks to Mr. Khanna, who is so carefully conducting Backlog Reduction Case, which I read with serious interest.
And special thanks to those whom I forgot to mention.
Thanks all. Keep up the good show.
Prakash

I highly recommend this team.
Good Luck for all you. Thanks
Mr.Khanna and his efficient team has smartly answered my complex H1 RFE to get it approved in 2 weeks. I can't thank them enough. I recommend all companies no matter what the size of the company is.
My first contact with The Law Offices of Rajiv Khanna was in 2001 and since then, between me and my wife, we have done 5 H1s and our PR petition.
All I can say is they are an amazing bunch of people and both of us trust them and follow their advice on immigration matters blindly. They are that good.
Many thanks to Rajiv, Charu, Anna, Suman, Vijay and Rena any many others who have helped us.
Thanks again and many regards.

Just want to post my success story to help all those silent sufferers who are looking for guidance on Vacation recapture.
My 6th year H1 expired on Oct-13-2004. My company filed for LC in Feb-2004 and I did not meet criteria for 7th year extension.
Hi Folks
With reference to my earlier post, I was really desperate to get replies regarding my query for first time Stamping at Chennai embassy, for first time stamping for H-1 B from J1 Visa.
Now, atlast I got my visa stamped and here are more details to folks who are sailing in same boat.
Hello Folks;
I successfully got my H1 (& H4 stamp) in Ottawa on March 8.
This was my third H1 stamp (second for the same employer)
It went very smooth...hardly 5 min interview...
Things seem to have improved a bit. Applied for EAD (J2 Visa holder) online on September 2. When I checked the status of the case, I got the message that my EAD had been approved on November 8. Sounds great, but lets wait until the card has arrived.
By the way, if you want to apply for an interim EAD after expiry of the 90 day period, you no longer have to stand in line all night long but can make an appointment on the USCI site (http://usci.gov) at the INFOPASS section. Good luck to everybody.
My Wife and I received our GC approvals within 34 months for the whole process with the grate Rajiv Khanna team. The team so responsive and dedicated in their work. Especially I have to Thank you Rajiv Khanna for his fighting efforts to stream line the Green Processing to all the immigration community. He is a great man!. We are really glad that we chose this Law firm.We are thankful to Rajiv and his staff.

Question: I have been in the U.S since 2017, and my F1 visa expires this month due to the 5 year validity period.
Answer: First of all, unless you are traveling, you do not have to renew your visa. If the visa expires while you're still completing your course, it's absolutely no problem.

I am currently working at a company in India. I am eligible to claim Employee Stock Option (ESOPS) on 17th August 2022. However, I will be landing in Dallas, USA on 10th August on F-1 Visa (For Fall 22). The company will still offer those ESOPs, but the official relieving date will be on 17th August. From 9th August onwards till 17th August, I will be on Loss of Pay Leave i.e (unpaid leave). I am worried that situation would create a conflict with my F-1 visa status.
1. I want to know whether this is legal as I will be employed at a company in India for 7 days after arrival in the U.S. on an F-1 visa.
2. Whether this will cause problems in future when I apply for OPT or H-1B or even EB-3 as my previous employment end date is 7 days after arrival in the U.S.?
1. It appears that you are getting a benefit based on the work you have already done. You will NOT be performing any "new" work for the Indian company.
2. I do not see this as an issue.

If I request a name change on form N400, will it take longer to adjudicate the case? Is the name change processed by the adjudicating officer or by a judge?
It can take longer. The USCIS notes:
You can legally change your name after filing your application for naturalization with USCIS. If your name has changed after you filed a naturalization application, you must promptly provide USCIS with the document(s) that legally changed your name(s), such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, court order, or other official record. Make sure to mention your name change and bring the documents related to your name change at the time of the interview.

I thank Mr. Khanna, Suman Basin, Leila Lehman and Diane Lombardo for helping me through the Employment based Green Card processing. The best thing I like about the Law offices of Rajiv S. Khanna is that they are there when you need your questions answered. Efficient and very professional team.
