I tried 2 different attorneys before employing law offices of Rajiv Khanna, one attorney took money but didn't even bother to call me and other who wouldn't fill the basic information properly before filing the application for LC. Myself and My wife, we got our passports stamped yesterday (11/21/2002), the whole process took us about 2 yrs and 1month without any problem or query from INS. Working with the team of Rajiv Khanna was PLEASANT. Being a professional myself, I am really pleased with their DILIGENCE, PROFICIENCY, CONFIDENCE and EXPERIENCE. Even though my company messed up in making monthly payments, Ms. Lakshmi Kompella, Ms. Diane Lombardo and Ms. Suman Bhasin gave me an opportunity to clean it up without holding up the processing of my application. I am thankful for their CARE and UNDERSTANDING. Ms. Leila Lehman are praise worthy too, for all their support and PERSONAL attention given to my case. Thanks to the whole team for making the process EASY and PLEASURABLE. If the job needs to be done RIGHT, this is "THE TEAM".

Interim EAD by noon

I went to Arlington, Virginia for a walk-in on Wednesday (April 14). As of the 7th, they dont take walkins on Wednesday afternoon. I was told to come back the next day at 7:30.

I cam back on 15 at 7 AM (there were already 100
people in front of me). They opened at 7:30 and we were directed a room in the secon floor. Waited in the room until 10.00 and was told that I would receive the EAD the same day. I waited some more in a different room and obtained my interim EAD little after noon.

Easy time in Columbus - EAD

I actually had a very easy time in Columbus. I went to the offices at 7:30 am on Tuesday 13th April and was directed to stand outside in the rain until 7:45. At 7:45 I went in and joined the surge to the elevators.

Once in the offices, I was checked by a security officer (who was very helpful), gave my receipts, completed I-765, and took a seat. I was called in about an hour later to be finger printed and photographed, and I went back to the waiting room. I left by 9:20am with my card.

Sequence of events :

1. Stood in line at 7 AM.
2. Let into Room 200 at 9 AM. (Separate Line for interim EAD applicants).
3. Was sent to Room 1300 at 9:15 AM, after a cursory check of documentation.
4. Was called to a window at 12:40 PM.
5. Tough lady at the counter asked a lot of arbitrary questions (why did I
not have my old expired passports with me? etc.), and then approved my
application.
6. Went to Room 1304 - sat for about 20 mins.. they called my name, got my

Grace Period - Using Tourist Visa After Quitting A Job

I am here on an H-1B and I am looking at quitting my job very soon to leave the country. I am aware there is no grace period for quitting on an H-1B and I don't have a choice but to work till the last day. I do however have a tourist visa that is valid until 2016. Can I quit my job earlier and still stay a week on the account of the tourist visa to pack up and leave; or would the tourist visa have to be activated only be re-entering?

It has to be "activated." Note that under the circumstances reentry and hence "reactivation" is likely to be difficult.

I hired the services of Mr. Rajiv Khanna's law firm after a so-called big shot immigration attorney here in Dallas proved to me that his incompetence & sheer lack of knowledge came at an exorbitant price. Being a perfectionist by nature, I decided not to go in to the H1 process with that conman and chose to go with Mr Khanna's law firm instead after thorough research. Can easily say that it was one of those decisions for which u pat yourself on the back. The sheer promptness, professionalism and clockwork precision exhibited by Anna Baker, Rena Waddell & Charu Bhagat was exemplary. At the same time, they were very patient with my constant complex queries. I never felt a lack of warmth in my interaction with them, which is pretty uncommon otherwise, especially when it comes to law firms. The processing & paperwork was super-quick and the ball was always rolling. It was hardly any time after my case was filed that I got a call one morning informing me of my approval. And to think that I have never even seen or met any of these wonderful people. One word to describe these guys. Brilliant.

It took me full 6 years to get through the green card process and had to face a lot of obstacles along way. So what, Rajiv was there at every stage of the process. Mr. Khanna is the best in the Business (if you don’t agree with me, he is certainly one of the Best). His law firm is handling both my H1-B and Green Card, and my experience has always been really really very very good. Mr. Khanna has a very good team but when crises arise or there is confusion in the application process he will directly get involved – this means a lot - as the best and brightest person in us immigration arena is dealing your case.
