A great big heartfelt thanks to the Law Offices of Rajiv Khanna. After much waiting I finally got my green card approved. It has been an excruciating 3 year wait since I filed my I485 and during these years every time I had a doubt with what I can or cannot do and with any travel related questions, I have had great support from the Law Office. A special thanks to Mathew Chacko and Prerna , whom I have been in touch with primarily over the past years. Mr Mathew Chacko's speedy response amidst his busy schedule is commendable and much appreciated. A big heartfelt thanks again and I am sure I will only think of this law office for all my legal needs.
I and my husband received our GC on Aug 20, 2010. This whole process took almost 4 yr and 8 months. We are thankful to Rajiv Khanna and his team for constant support and guidance. Their paper work was excellent and team was very accomodating. Thanks for excellent work and support. Dolly and Rajiv Chavan
I am currently in the U.S. with B2 visa. Can a company that intents to hire me, apply for a work permit on my behalf and change my status while I am in the U.S.?
You can, but it is almost never a good idea to convert from a B to a longer term visa. Please discuss the consequences with your lawyers.
In a month I will have lived in the US for one year as PR. My company is sending me to do some work for them overseas.
1. Do I have to eligible for naturalization FIRST before I file N-470? Or is this just for any LP who have lived in the US for an uninterrupted year?
2. Can I file it while I am overseas?
3. Can I file when I come back having lived outside the US for less than a Year?
4. Can I file the application and leave BEFORE I hear back from USCIS?
5. What should my employer write in the supporting documents?
6. What makes my company an American corporation/firm?
1. No, you do not have to be eligible for naturalization.
2. No, you have to file while in USA.
3. No.
4. Yes.
5 and 6 require a lawyer to look over your company's details.
Great Team = Great Results = Courteous = Recommend Everyone.

Folks,
I thought I'll share my FP experience in Oakland, CA which might be useful to others. I had my FP scheduled for tomorrow but since we have other errands to run tomorrow we went in today at 8:15 AM. To our surprise they did not even question us about the date. They just glanced at our FP notice and gave us a form to fill up. Even before I finished filling my form my number was up.
Hi there,
I had my N-400 interview in Portland, Oregon this afternoon. At the end, the officer printed the N-652 form and checked two boxes: a) you passed the tests of English and U.S. history and government; and b) Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval.
The interview was smooth and quick. I had 2 tickets for speeding, which I had included in my N-400 application. He said it was good I had included them because I got a citation (ticket), but that they're only interested in violations that involve arrests.
The process was very smooth and lasted for 3 full minutes. USCIS officer was professional and friendly and started the interview right on time. He asked me to take the oath first and then reviewed the application. Then he asked me to write a simple sentense, went through history & civics questions (all from the list of 100 USCIS has on its website) and once I answered first six correctly told me that I passed the exam and the application is approved. He said I will get oath notice in 1 - 2 months.
H.R. 6080 has been passed and is expected to be signed by the President today, 13 August 2010. This Bill raises The H-1B and L-1 application filing fees (fraud prevention and detection) by $2,000 for companies with 50 or more employees in USA if more than 50% of the employees are on H/L status. The fees are to be effective upon enactment (when the President signs and USCIS can implement) and will end on September 30, 2014.
The Bill states:
Amazing team to work with. They are always ready for help and very quick in responding any questions. Very detail orientated and knowledgeable people to work with.
Very happy & satisfied with the service provided by Law office of Rajiv Khanna. Rajiv Khanna is very knowledgeable & well experienced with immigration.
USCIS reminds all approved EB-5 regional centers with a designation letter dated on or before Sept.

I have I-140 approved with title business systems analyst. Promoted to director in the same job profile , H-1B amended to reflect the title but no new PERM filed as was explained by my lawyer that it is OK to have some career progression and more than 50% of job duties are same as old job. Now we are going to go through another re-org and probably I may not have the same title but senior business systems analyst . What are the steps
1. Do we need to file new perm or wait for the new law and apply H-1B reflecting the new title
2. Apply for EAD on the basis of existing I-140 approved as business systems analyst.
Please advice..

I am a physician completing my J-1 waiver ( on H-1B now in US, waiver will finish by June 2015). My wife became a U.S. citizen few months ago and she has filed I-130 for me. If I-130 is approved, do I have to wait till June 2015 to apply for adjustment of status or can I apply sooner ? If I have to wait till June to apply for I-485, will I be able to get EAD right away or will I need to be on H-1 for a while I-485 is accepted ?

I got my labor certification approved a few days ago. Mr. Khanna's office did a wonderful job gathering all the details and working with my company to get it done. The process was very smooth and my employer was really happy with the response time from Mr. Khanna's office. Special thanks to Richa for patiently answering all the questions and filing the petition on-time and accurately. She is a true professional and a great resource of information to all new applicants. Thank you once again! I would definitely recommend Mr. Khanna to all my friends for all their Visa needs!
