I would like to thank Ms. Shivane Sharma for her follow up with INS almost everyday for last few weeks. INS has misplaced my file and lost one of the important forms. Ms. Sharma has done a very great job by communicating with INS and at the same time giving me the status from time to time. She is very professional at her work and prompt in replying an email or returning a call. This is another Green card story: We never received any Receipt from INS after filing my I-140. Ms. Shivane Sharma contacted INS to get the status and noticed that INS cashed the check, but could not find my file. In order to track my file, INS told Ms. Sharma to get the copy of Front & Back side of the check, sent by my employer to INS. (INS prints Receipt # on back side of the check and sends it back to the bank) Ms. Sharma contacted my employer and explained the situation. My employer then obtained the check from the Bank and gave the necessary information to her. Ms. Sharma again contacted INS and furnished the Receipt #. This time INS tracked my file, and informed that they have sent the Receipt to some unknown Lawyer in Connecticut. INS also informed Ms. Sharma that they did not receive form G-28 along with the application (God knows how it was lost?). Ms. Sharma again contacted my employer, got the signature on the ‘new’ Form G-28, and faxed it to INS on very same day. Finally she contacted INS again to confirm that INS received everything required to process my application. Thank you Ms. Shivane Sharma for everything !!!
I started my association with Rajiv's office way back when I had questions about my F-1 visa in 1997. Since then, Rajiv and his remarkable office staff have helped me first with my H-1B and then my EB-2 green card. While these cases were all very different and I had the chance to deal with many people at Rajiv's office, there was one thing that remained a constant: meticulous attention to detail and prompt, courteous help. When I applied for the green card, Attorney Khanna was kind enough to spend one hour with me talking about the process and the work that will need to be performed in order to file the papers. We also talked a little bit about the meaning of life which was refreshing. He mentioned that Diane Lombardo who asists him will be incharge of my case and said that she is thorough and there should be no problem. He completely understated the capabilities of Diane. She is very thorough and to say the least one of the most thorough people I have ever worked with. Her attention to detail and thoroughness was impressive. My I-140 had a record turn around of 45 days from the date of mailing to approval notice. My EAD came back for in 14 days. This was mainly due to Diane's hard work. Since my filing I have referred 2 other people to Attorney Khanna.

Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson has extended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible nationals of Honduras (and those without nationality who last habitually resided in Honduras) for an additional 18 months, effective July 6, 2016, through Jan. 5, 2018.
USCIS published an updated edition of Form N-300, Application to File Declaration of Intention. The new edition is dated 03/30/16.

Petitioners may now submit this inquiry online by selecting “case outside normal processing time.”
USCIS has posted a new Web page on the H-1B and L-1 fee increase required by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 (Pub. L. 114-113). Pub. L. 114-113 requires certain petitioners to submit an additional fee of $4,000 for certain H-1B petitions and an additional $4,500 for certain L-1A and L-1B petitions.
I was a student on F-1 (MS), and I got my H-1B two years ago. My company has started GC process and already got my I-140 approved. But I want to go back to school this fall (law school), which means I'll have to change my status back to F-1 again.

On December 18th 2015 I came back to USA on H-4, at that time my old passport was expiring on September 19th 2015 so the Immigration Officer approved my I-94 until September 19. Later I applied for H-1 and it got approved on Feb 2nd 2016 and my H-1 is valid until Ending Validity Date: 12/19/18 with I-94 number in it. I renewed my passport now and I have validity until 2026.
Question: Do I have to go for stamping again to extend my I-94 validity? Or since I got new I-94 with my H-1B is that good enough.

Can I apply for STEM OPT, if I work for a E-Verified staffing agency (similar to Aerotek, Kelly services) on contract basis that is related to my STEM field of education at a client location ?. (I along with staffing agency will fill out I983 form) <br>
I read online that USCIS has regulated "Certain Types of Employment" for STEM OPT in this new rule. So am worried that working for a staffing company at a client company location is therefore invalid :/ ((If so, I think then all the staffing companies would suffer as well))<br>
