I havent posted my interview experience elsewhere, so am just going to write it in here. I must say that I was not too prepared for the interview (esp compared to most of you), since I had been traveling all that week, and since I am basically lazy
My interview was for 9am, so we reached the DO 15 min before 9. There was no line at security, and we quickly made our way to the upstairs waiting room. I must say that the security guy here was much nicer than the ones at the front.
Had my interview today and the officer who was a lady was awesome. Very friendly and she had no hidden agenda to try and prove our marriage wrong. This is how interviews for this should be versus some of the horror stories you hear.
The only document she asked for was to see originals of: marriage cert, birth cert of me and spouse. She then asked for any documents I had showing joint documents: I handed her bank acc, and medical document showing joint memberships. Thats it!! She didnt even ask to see 1 photograph!! She took I-94.

5. Post interview/travel back to US/port of entry1. Pre-travel arrangements:
Hi, I would like to share my experience of our interview in US consular in Montreal. Our appointment was schedule on June 20th 2011 at 8h30am. We arrived at the US consular at 8h00am and we got our interview only at 11h00am as there was a lot of peoples waiting in front of us. The interview went well. The typical questions are: How long have you been working? When did you apply for the visa? Confirmed the country of birth? How long have you been leaving in Canada? Confirmed your current address?
My wife recently had her interview on June 6. the process was pain free except for one minor issue. she had become canadian citizen few days before and didnt have her canadian passport on her at the time of interview. Verbally the visa was approved but on the sheet handed to us, it said visa rejected due to Canadian Passport. We mailed the passport to the consulate the very next day and it was received by the consulate the next day. We are still awaiting a reply from the consulate and have been unable to contact the consulate via phone/email.
While the process of application to adjustment of status for my mother-in-law was in progress, (sponsored by my husband, a US citizen), my FIL and MIL came to India for a personal reason and there my FIL got into a medical emergency. My mother-in-law's finger print got rejected and they wanted conduct certificate for last 5 years wherever she lived. Now she is not in a position to travel to US until my FIL health gets stable, but we didn't know how to get the conduct certificate from US without her. That's where Mr. Khanna suggested I contact a congressman of our district and explain him the situation so that he will be able to solve the issue by talking to Immigration officers. This was definitely a helpful suggestion. I am yet to contact the congressman. Will let you know the results soon. Thank you very much for Khanna and his team for doing this great service free of cost.
Great help and follow through every queries from USCIS in detail. Mr. Khanna team is very helpfull. From the start of my H1 until my GC
I applied green card for me and my family through Rajiv Khanna's office and it went through successfully. Its been a great experience working with his team throughout the process. Diane Lombart was the one assigned to my case from their end. She has been very supportive, responsive and encouraging. No matter how many questions that you put or how many emails that you send, she handled all of them very patiently. She very well understands the emotions one goes through (eagerness, frustrations etc) during this process and be was very supportive during tough times. Thanks Diane for all the support!!
My I-140 was filed in February 2004. The National Visa Centre, in its letter dated 24th June 2010, informed that they had completed processing of my petition seeking immigration to the USA and had forwarded it to the American Embassy/Consulate at New Delhi.
USCIS sent an RFE for my H-1B petition and indicated that they have attempted to validate the company or organization in its Validation Instrument for Business Enterprises (VIBE) system. What is this?
USCIS has indicated that VIBE allows USCIS to electronically receive commercially available information from an Immigrant Investor Program (IIP), currently Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), about apetitioning company or organization. This information includes:
• Business activities, such as type of business (North American IndustryClassification Systemcode), trade payment information, and status (active or inactive)
• Financial standing, including sales volume and credit standing
• Number of employees, both on-site and globally
Thank you so much Mr. Khanna and his staff for helping me and my husband in understanding our case. He is a brilliant lawyer and above all an amazing human being. I can't express my appreciation for your work and advise in words. Thanks again, you are the best! MP

Rajiv and his team bring an unprecedented level of expertise in the matters relating to immigration, and I, personally, and my organization have used their services on a number of occasions with a 100% success rate. The principal reason is their mastery of the overall process in general, but more importantly their keen understanding of the subtleties and nuances of unique circumstances that need special treatment/attention. We are gung-ho on them and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
Beginning September 9, 2013, USCIS will employ a new verification tool called Customer Identity Verification (CIV) in its field offices. Customers will now submit biometric data, specifically fingerprints and photographs, when appearing at USCIS offices for interviews or to receive evidence of an immigration benefit.
We are so pleased with your service and prompt response to all the queries and concerns. Each and every doubt was explanined to us in very professional manner. I will recommend Rajiv S Khanna's law firm to all of my friends.

Can an I-485 (Adjustment of Status) application be filed while the applicant is outside the United States?
No. It is required that the applicant be on U.S. soil when the application is submitted. For those applying from outside the United States, Consular Processing would be in order.
Question 1. I have done MS from US and worked on H-1 for 5 years. Started GC process, I-140 approved with Priority date May 2011. Came to India for H-1 stamping and it was denied twice. If I apply for my H-1 and if I don't get H-1, then can my employer continue processing my GC through Consular Processing when I am in India. Also is there any law stating that my employer can not keep the I-140 when my H-1 has been expired & if it so then for how long can my employer keep my I-140 active?
Question 2. If my employer revoke my I-140 & if I come to US on any other visa, then Can I process my GC and port the PD ?
Answer 1. As long as the job offer exists and the employer is capable of paying the wages, the green card process can go on, even though you are not in USA. You should discuss this matter in detail with your lawyers to better understand the implications. Also, I-140's do not expire.
Answer 2. PD can be ported even if the 140 is revoked by employer. I have a video on this issue
Regarding direct consular filing of I-130's, under what exigent circumstances does the Consulate accept jurisdiction of I-130 Immediate Relative Petitions for consular review?
The State Department says that consulates will accept I-30 direct filing requests for immediate family members (spouse, child, or parent of a U.S. citizen) in rare circumstances. For example, where the U.S.
