Congress created the EB-5 visa program in 1990 as a tool to stimulate the U.S. economy by encouraging foreign capital investments and job creation. The EB-5 program makes immigrant visas and subsequent “green cards” available to foreign nationals who invest at least $1,000,000 in a new commercial enterprise (NCE) that will create or preserve at least ten full-time jobs in the United States. A foreign national may invest $500,000 if the investment is in a targeted employment area (TEA), defined to include certain rural areas and areas of high unemployment.

I had my interview at 10:15 on Jan 26 (Seattle, WA). I arrived at 9:45 but they wouldn't let me check in til exactly 15 mins before the interview time. They ran late so they only called me at saw me at 10:45. It took 30 mins. The officer interviewing me was quite young and initially very formal but by the end he was chatting with me, really friendly and nice. Went over every page of my application and asked me to answer pretty much all the questions orally to check my answers against the form.
It has been a great working with Mr. Khanna and his team, especially Miss Diane. Visa and Green Card processes sometimes are very laborious and tedious too, especially if you have a very long wait time for the approval of your case or RFE. Both Mr. Khanna and Miss Diane answered all the queries I had very patiently, guided me and my wife properly throughout the immigration process. They thoroughly studied my case scenario and provided very honest and practical solution. They always got back to me in timely manner whenever I had any doubt or question. I strongly recommend Mr. Khanna's law firm for resolving any visa or immigration issues you may have!

I'm working in an organization since December 2009. When my green card was filed in January 2016 my job title was "Senior Engineer", and the roles and responsibilities included following -
<br>
· Generally someone with industry knowledge and/or software knowledge
<br>
· SME in multiple areas
· Able to assist in even more areas
· Able to work without management intervention
<br>
My I-140 is approved, and Priority Date is January 2016. I'm due for promotion to the job title "Consultant", and the roles and responsibilities would be following -
<br>
· SME in a lot of areas
· Able to work in any area
· Able to talk accurately about the whole product whenever and wherever regardless of audience
· “Manager” on the floor, a mentor to “all” that need help, trusted adviser
· The one that the Engineer level people go to and want to be
<br>
My Manager and HR mentioned that they will have to file amendment for change in roles and responsibilities that matches with new title. They are concerned about filing amendment, and they mentioned that they are seeing less than 50/50 success rate and there is high risk involved in changing title as my green card might get declined.
<br>
I'm very surprised that changing only couple of responsibilities can jeopardize my green card processing, and I'm also finding it unbelievable that I can't get any promotion within same organization till my GC is approved, which could be another 10-15 years.
<br>
I thought since green card is filed for the future position, so there should not be much risk involved in filing amendment. I've seen many of my friends and family getting promotions within same organization after their green card process started. Since I'll be working in same organization and same team, and there is no drastic change in roles and responsibilities, so do we still have to file amendment? Can the amendment be filed later with I-485, or is it better to go back to old job without filing amendment?

Quotes and Excerpts from Rajiv on the article:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is updating the USCIS Policy Manual to clarify the effect of travel outside the United States by Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries who are subject to removal proceedings.
We won this case for the applicant based on his exceptional research record evident by his numbers of publications and invited presentations. At the time of filing, the applicant's research work had been cited over 100 times which is indicative of the high-quality, highly regarded work that he does. Referees noted that this applicant was one of the very small percentage of scientists who achieve the highest level of success in their given field.
We won a case for National Interest Waiver for a Physician working in a medically underserved area. We provided a five year contract, copy of his J-1 Waiver approval, numerous experience letters, a letter from the Department of State and documentation to reflect statistics of health professional shortage in the area.
Rajiv Khanna and associates helped me in my Green Card processing since Nov 2015 and recently they did an excellent job to clear my I-140 approval. Fortunately I didn't receive any RFE, was mainly due to the well preparation of my application by one of the lawyer in the lawyer group. I got my I-140 approval in two weeks super timing. It was due to a great job and effort done by the Rajiv Khanna's office and their associates. I full heartily appreciate their excellent work and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation who are looking for a good immigration lawyer for their Green Card or any other immigration related work. Thanks
